zophar Posted February 20, 2005 Share Posted February 20, 2005 hello thought id introduce myself here my name's utkarsh and i have to say i love this site, i have the odyssey hookah which someone advised me to clean recently and since then it hasnt been right, i tried cleaning it by pouring water down one end and letting out the other, done it more than a couple of times and it smokes like sh*t now, dirty smoke, no flavor, from what ive read in searches, it looks like i need a new hose, will any hose fit? just looking for a single hose pref long, recommendations? Now for the tobacco, i read the detailed reviews which were excellently written but saw some mixed opinions there so I thought I'd just ask again, i ordered a BUNCH of stuff from fumari (7 flavors i know i know i messed up) and no not the watermelon , stuff hasnt arrived but i need to order a new hose anyway so i thought might as well order some good quality tobacco, could you guys please recommend something for the following flavors, money is no object Double Apple - I read about Romano's, Al-Fakher's and Golden Fakher, which is the best? I'm looking for a good RICH strong flavor not something light, this applies to all of them Strawberry Grape Mixed/Any other you recommend, not looking for something sour, something with a lot of flavor and a nice high not the dizzy high , oh and some accessory recommendations too plz right now i just have the basics Much thanks and glad to be on board! cypress Posted February 20, 2005 Share Posted February 20, 2005 Double Apple, I recomend Roman (nice rich smoke, strong apple and licorice flavor) Mixed Fruit I recomend Al Fakher (nice thick rich smoke, flavors change through out the smoking session, you can actually pick out the different friots Your safest bets are going to be either Romman and Al Fakher. King Mo Posted February 21, 2005 Share Posted February 21, 2005 i got many reviews in the thread in my signature. fakher is top company in my opinion, although other brands do excel in some flavours here's my view on what i've tried grape: EASILY Fakher grape by far (normal fakher) double apple: havent tried romman, but fakher double apple is very good (although i personally am not a huge fan of the flavour itself, which is why i dont buy it ) Single Apple: EASILY apple fakher. (normal fakher) Strawberry: from what I've tried, I like Golden Strawberry fakher the best. (golden fakher) i realise this is pretty one sided, but these are unbiaised reviews, the al fakher company has many of the best flavours, and the smoke is definately the richest out of them all. Smoke thickness and length of time, fakher beats all the brands. for flavours, it nearly beats everything, except the odd excellent flavour from other companies. if in doubt, check out the reviews in the sig. good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you're looking for a GREAT All-In-One store, go to: www.Hookah-Shisha.com, and there you'll be able to buy some Romman Double Apple (which just happens to be the best I've ever tasted), Romman Strawberry (closest I've tasted to a true Strawberry), Romman Sweet Melon, Romman Orange, and Al-Fakher. While you're there, since money is no object, buy yourself about 6 boxes of Golden Coals, they're the BEST quick-light coals on the market, absolutely flavorsless and odorless, and won't impart any charcoal flavor into your smoke whatsoever. It tastes very similar to cheap eskandarani tobacco, which is not a bad thing, as cheap eskandarani is a decent smoke, but it doesn't quite have anything 'extra' which would make me buy it again. I may have to try the romman double apple if it is really that great In my opinion, Golden strawberry fakher is definately better than romman strawberry. Romman strawberry is a decent flavour I guess, but very similar to Al Waha strawberry and not how I myself would want an ideal strawberry to taste. Golden strawberry fakher was richer in taste, and better in taste, with of course the unbelievable clouds of smoke generated by the fakher tobacco. mathazar, I was wondering if you could give me a description of the taste of Romman double apple? , I may have to try it out. King Mo Posted February 21, 2005 Share Posted February 21, 2005 all in one store I would suggest is southsmoke , as it has many brands of tobacco with a great price on fakher. hookah-shisha and socialsmoke are more expensive, but have a couple of other advantages. e.g. hookah shisha has the expensive romman tobacco which you might want to try, social smoke has golden fakher in 50g packs, which is handy, and they do great variety packs in which you can buy multiple fakher flavours. It's pure Double Apple Goodness. Of course, it doesn't taste like Apple, but that's true of all Double Apple. But the licorice taste is the BEST!!! There's no risk involved here, King Mo, you're going to be so wonderfully delighted with this Double Apple that you'll have it smoked before you even have a chance to say.....WOW!!!
