It's ok. My experience is that it gives a little bit of a punch to your buzz, but it effects the flavor negativley IMO. I think it's too alcohol-y, like when you eat a green apple jolly rancher.

I enjoy using both white zinfandel and red wine. Most of the people I
smoke with also prefer wine in the base. I usually use fill it with
50-80% wine and the rest water. I also have gone through two 1.5 litre
bottles of wine and one small bottle in the last two weeks, now my
friends call me a wino
