Mathazar will tell you to try hookah hookah's whole line of tobacco (LOL) and from what i hear from him they are pretty good... im ordering some of their apple so i can see just how good it is, but thats probably your first step to try some of the other brands of tobacco. [/quote] I've run into this before - the Japanese coals add way too much charcoal flavor, so I switched back to quick llighting coals. The only flavors, in my opinion, worth smoking right now are: Hazelnut, Apple, Melon, Grape, and Margarita. As far as coals are concerned, my favorites are Golden Coals (Quick-Lights) and Nour Natural Wood Coals. You can get the Golden Coals from www.Hookah-Shisha.com, and you can get Nour Coals at www.HookahCompany.com Personally, the Nour Coals are my favorite, because the impart NO charcoal flavor whatsoever into your smoke. 3Kings impart LOTS of charcoal flavor into your smoke which is probably why you're not properly tasting the tobacco. I HATE 3Kings. If I were you, I'd just toss them in the garbage and either get Golden Coals or Nour Coals. The Nour Coals you'll have to light on your stove, and it could take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to get them REDHOT. As far as you're not being able to taste the tobacco, I don't know what else to tell you. But, supachink is correct, Hookah-Hooka.com has some EXCELLENT flavors. So, you can either order it to try it out or not. It IS the BEST Grape I've ever smoked, but because I've smoked SO much of it, I don't order it anymore.
