shaheenk Posted May 12, 2011 Share Posted May 12, 2011 HI all I bought a shisha pipe while on holiday in Istanbul, I cannot find any information about it other then I am missing the downstem. I have contacted a number of companies but they cannot assist as the unit was not bought from them, I have included some pics and I hope someone here can assist me , i have the dimensions as well if required. Please have a look and let me know if you have any ideas. My stem is a 3 piece unit , with the top section being split into 2 and the bottom stem attaches to the bottom. I also have a screw in base and a screw in bowl. If I want to replace the bowl it has to be a lebanese bowl . The purge valve and the similarity to Mya's gave it away. http://www.chinahookah.com/Hookah-YA-Art-YA6510-1780.html That is the stem I am almost certain it is. I don't know that company, never heard of 'em, so I wouldn't suggest shopping there. I don't really know what vendors do sell Inhale stuff, as its not something I have ever shopped for Someone else should know where to find a replacement downstem for it now though that you know what kind it is. I've even been considering an Inhale or Sahara Smoke one just to get that type of style But the base is a Mya from what I can tell, so your good there. I have never smoked off an Inhale, so i don't know how well they work. But it should at least smoke decently, as long as there are no air leaks. And if there are its fairly easy to fix [/quote] Thanks for the info , I have opened the bits up and the workmanship is not too bad, the threads are well made, the welds are fairly good and I cannot see the stem having too many welds inside. the base is really steady and is a screw in, what I did to improve it was some thread tape on all the threads, better O rings and checked that there are no airleaks now . I found a downstem from one of the online stores and will feedback on how well it smokes once I have this. I will open another topic about my favourite flavours and ask about some new ones. [/quote] Quick note I was wrong about the base. I got to looking at it closer and the design doesn't match with Mya. Its an Inhale one I think. But still it looks solid, and as you said the stem looks good. shaheenk Posted May 23, 2011 Author Share Posted May 23, 2011 Hey Guys Thanks to everyone for their help on this. I managed to find a downstem from MYA which fits perfectly . I wanna thank everyone for their input. The downstem arrived this afternoon but was a bit long. Nothng that a dremel could not sort out . I fitted it and lit it up , I must say it smokes very well, good suction, good smoke and nice thinck flavour, i am still burning the pipe in as with any pipe it still has that new taste which will burn out as time goes on.
