Scalliwag Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 You can actually use a pan with a cover. They will get really hot but not burn until you pull off the cover. It may not be very practical for your first coals but if you pull the cover a couple of minutes before you need them. It's a controlled burn.
