Help Me Out

I saw JD's black hookah with the pink base protector and it reminded me of an old vase I made in ceramics class 2-3 years ago.

Now my issue is that since this wasn't designed to be a hookah I can't get a stem to fit in air tightly. My MYA staff is a screw in so I need to find a grommet before I can even try that one. My MYA clearance hookah fits but isnt 100% air tight. So I used some electric tape and wrapped it around the grommet over and over to thicken it up but I ran out of tape. My Mashal is with a friend so I can't try it out but I think it might not be stable if it does fit. So has anyone else had an issue like this? I'm gonna try to buy another roll of tape and another grommet to see if I can make it work. Any recommendations on what I should try?

it doesnt have to be 100% airtight to smoke well. i say just use whatever you have and it will work.

A permanent solution would be a rubber or cork stopper, but as canon mentioned, being airtight isn't that big of an issue.

After all, people are still able to get a decent smoke out of a multi-hose that doesn't have auto-seal.

gorilla tape (its black, looks better but duct tape will work) around the threads until the tape is thick enough to make a seal... damn i'm good
