Just An Idea

How about putting your hookah in the oven and setting it at a low temperature untill you can get smoke out of it. Then you would run your hose into one of those external ice chambers some people have set up to cool the smoke since it came out of the oven and then you would have coal-less hookah.

Just an idea seems impractical since ovens are so big but maybe someone can give it a shot?

Thats a horribly impractical idea. Problems,

1. very few people smoke hookah lying on the ground in the kitchen.
2. Your baisically recreating the function of the entire hookah outside the oven, and I dont thi... you know what, I dont even know why im explaining why this is a bad idea.

Ok, a better question would be about somehow making a small, sealed container light an oven that encases the bowl, but an even smarter idea would be to just use some sort of heat element exactly like a coal.

What the heck you need the hookah for??? Put the tobacco in a metal bowl, add some petrol, light up and start breathing deeply. Smoke is just what you want, isnt it???

I dont understand why people cant accept hookah the way it is and want to change it. Hookah is a tradition from the middle east, that uses coal and brass hookahs (saying this for those that say copper and brass are bad) to smoke mussel (shisha).

You are allowed to make your experiment and hope for a better solution but its almost imposible. You 'll find nothing to replace coal. laugh.gif

Cheers

(BTW, the red and green towels is where the oven is. tongue.gif )

There are specially designed caps to place on top of the ceramic head of your hookah which consist of a fiberglass enclosure and a metal cap, effectively heating and burning the sheesha...

It is definitely a much more healthy alternative to using the traditional coals, but the smoke quality is greatly reduced.
