MetalFrailRuiner Posted June 9, 2007 Share Posted June 9, 2007 A few nights ago I broke the glass bowl of my hookah when I tried to put ice in it, I suppose the ice expanded somehow or was too cold for the glass, because it split clean into two pieces. Tonight I bought another with a sturdier bowl, and I want to try putting ice in the bowl again, but I can't remember much about science class, and I don't want to repeat the same mistake. I can't imagine why your base would break. What base were you using?And if you really meant bowl, I can't imagine why you'd want ice in there, or even how that would work. My cousin split a glass in perfect halves because she put cold water in it right after it came out of the dish washer. So it could have been a rapid temperature change that split it.
