1. Al Ajamy Lemon Cut: medium/fine a few stems, red in colour, not much liquid Scent: Like lemon drops Weight out of Package: 48g Setup: Mya QT, 1 3K coal, filtered ice water Taste: You mean it is supposed to have a taste? Smoke: Medium-average ish. nothing phenomenal Buzz: None Overall rating: 5/10 would be good to thin out a very strong flavor perhaps.
2. Al Amir Cherry Set up: Small Hookah from Hookah-Shisha, 1 sm. 3k charcoal, foil, filtered ice water. Weight out of package: 50g Consistancy: Cut is similar Layalina. No stems found. - red and syrupy. Smell: Major cherry cough syrup. Not at all appeasing. Environment Acclimation: 6 hours Taste: At first it tasted like what a Michael's or Hobby Lobby smells like. (Kind of like a Corona tastes like what a skunk should smell like.) About 10 mins into it- a pleasant cherry flavour emerged- but it was rather evasive at times. Buzz: none Smoke density: fair Rating 4/10. It might do well if blended with Tangiers' Vanilla- which I'm going to try. But having heard great things abut this brand and flavour- I was rather disappointed.
3. Hookah Hookah Black Label- Herbal Shisha - Vanilla Ok, I know, it sounded like a bad idea at the time I ordered it- but I really have been longing for something that isn't tobacco to smoke. Cut: Like dried thyme leaves in a black liquid Smell: Chemically Vanilla, not pleasant. Smoke: Weak Taste: At best: it hinted vanilla and something else- not sure what the something else is though. At worst- it was just miserable. Ended up changing the bowl, hose, and water and doing something else. Rating: .5/10 just because it was smokeable to a limited degree. There has got to be a decent herbal smoke out there somewhere.

Vanilla

Tangiers' Vanilla Cut/Look: Typical Tangiers Weight: 252g w/o pkging (I think I owe you .30 Tang.) Setup: Hookah-Shisha mini hookah, 1 3kings coal with 1 on standby, filtered ice water. Climate Acclimation: 6 hours in open air Smell: Vanilla-y and pipe tobacco Smoke: My God! I thought I had a drink somewhere, but I can't find it. Taste: (Tangiers, I mean no disrespect) It tasted slightly vanillaish- but more like an incredibly mild Dunhill pipe tobacco. It was incredibly mild, pleasant to smoke and sweet- but it wasn't like vanilla ice cream flavour. On the whole a nice change from fruit flavours and something I'll keep on hand as a regular smoke- though I'd like a bit more vanillay taste. (On occasion I'd like something that tastes like vanilla ice cream in smoke form.) Rating: 9/10 Request: Coconut!
5.
Yes. I only have the bastardized version of the Biblical Studies degree... in Science and not in Arts... which means I was not man enough (read: smart) to take the dead languages focus on Greek or Hebrew. Instead, I took the introductory courses on each and barely passed those. I can trudge through them with concordances and word study manuals. Do you ever go to the Society for Biblical Literature conferences?
No. I'm one of the rare breeds known as a ritualist. Most of my emphasis is in the liturgy and ritual of the church. My degree is centered in the medieval church, but goes upto modern day. I'm not much of a Biblical language person. About the only language that is remotely Biblical that I'm nearly fluent in is Latin. But since most of the texts I read are in Latin it makes sense
6. QUOTE (angemonkwj @ Mar 5 2007, 12:53 PM) QUOTE (txbrit32 @ Feb 26 2007, 04:04 PM) I still say a laserpod is the best hookah accessory one can buy what is a laserpod? Ooh even the old messages didn't make it across. How sad. www.laserpod.com When I smoke my hookah I kind of have a little den area. No lights- the laserpod is going, some light ambientish music, white or green tea and just sit back. The smoke plays in the laserbeams of the laserpod and is really really cool
7. um I could attempt it in May. I'll be going back (they, for some reason expect me to bring work back or something..) but I don't know who has my room currently. I'd be happy to try though.. Congrats, by the way, your moderatorship!
8. QUOTE (ghostofdavid @ Feb 26 2007, 10:41 PM) Work field and religion, eh? What do you do, teach religion at university level? I just graduated with an undergrad and finished Seminary type stuff. I am not a "clergymen" though. Either way, welcome to the forum and I'll see what I can do to resurrect your old account. I have my MDiv and working on my PhD in the UK I'm an ordained Anglican priest that will teach at the seminary level. I do some teaching currently, but am still working on my PhD
9. This is TxBrit31 - I left the UK and am now in Texas for a bit. However, since the switch over my account doesn't seem to function anymore so here I am. Workwise- I work in the religious field and I'm an upperlevel educator Playwise- I'm 32 and play rugby, cricket, row and, of course use my hookah. I still say a laserpod is the best hookah accessory one can buy TxBrit31 now TxBrit32. (Admins if I can get my old account back, I'd like to, tnx)
