So i finally jumped on the diffuser wagon after everyone was talking about it and how there great for small hookahs....so i figured my hobo has a somewhat short stem...so i made this diffuser from a thick straw and just poked hole in it with a thumb tack... and it fit perfect on the bottom of the stem with the rubber ending they give you...

the thing worked amazing to.....i took that pic after 1 hit......and it usually takes a bit to get the hobo goin

Another hobo user! Cool.

I've found marker caps fit perfectly over that rubber bit and are quite a bit more durable. What I just recently tried and found to work very well though was using drinking straws like so: http://www.thehookah...ookah-diffuser/

Your diffuser sticks way out from the end of the stem. Is this the preferred way to use a diffuser? The directions on my plastic one says to have the end of the stem buried deep down inside the diffuser.

Though this defeats the purpose of all of the holes along the sides of the diffuser, and the holes in the rubber top of it.

Due to its lighter than water nature, the smoke will rise quickly and more tends to go out the top holes, so situating the diffuser centered on the stem helps to put flow in both directions, but it's not required.

well the diffuser i made is air tight and we noticed that when you take slow weak hits the smoke comes out the top holes and when you hit the hookah harder the the smoke would come out the bottom holes alot and as well as the top holes

Hey guys it seems you get good smokes from your hobohookah?

Ive got one and used it but the smoke is always faint and not great to be honest

last night i set it up, had the head warm n got abysmal smoke, i put the head on an old shisha of mine and the smoke was thick, so i havent got a clue what im doing wrong with my hobo!?

any tips much appreciated!

Oh and do you just use the hobo with a normal tray?
