jiZZles
Well I was looking through all the old topics and came upon the diffuser. I saw how useful this was while smoking and decided that I wanted to add one to my stem but of course I could not make mine look all professional-like. I searched around my room for something that might help me. Materials - Pentel Refillable Erasers (PDE-1) case - Something to make holes (I used a dremel) - Something to seal the cap to the case (I used one of those grips from a pen) This is what I am talking about. The bottom of it fits perfectly in the bottom of my stem. I am able to push it in all the way to the 'F' so its nice and snug in there. I then proceeded to drill holes on the other side. I was able to drill six holes. Next I had to drill remove the end that goes into the stem so that there can be a passage for the air to move through. I drilled through it and then sanded it down. After this I placed the cap on and used a rubber grip from an old pen to place over the cap and case. I made sure there were no air leaks and then I placed it inside the stem. I haven't tested it out yet to see the effects. I did however put water in the base and tested the difference with it on and off. With it on it did change the sound and produced smaller amounts of bubbles. Later on tonight I will try it out when I smoke. Hopefully it works
afrdzak
I'll you props for the improvisation, but I can't imagine the rubber and plastic being a safe thing to use.

wyteboy
what's the diffuser do?
cypress
It makes the bubbles smaller. Suposedly it makes the smoke thicker.
jiZZles
Oh? Yea I'm with Cold. How would the plastic and rubber be harmful? There is no direct heat and it is in the water. Any build up can easily be washed and wiped with a q-tip.
