Mathazar
Don't waste your money, bud Go to either www.Hookah-Shisha.com or www.SouthSmoke.com and order some GOLDEN COALS. They're TOTALLY odorless and flavorless and won't impart ANY charcoal flavor into your smoke like 3Kings will. Buyer Beware!!! Order at your own risk!!! 3Kings Coals.......SUCK!!! hookaman
you guys, i have a problem. i hate 3 kings and im currently using nours. but evrytime i use nours i tend to burn the tobacco. the reason this happens is because my hooka isnt 100% airtight. the hooka is pretty old and i think the stem has microscopic holes in it wher it meets the vase cuz everytime i blow(thers no air valve) i see litle bit of smoke coming out of that area. i put 2-3 pieces of nour coals on the bowl, enough to cover the entire bowl so i can get decent smoke, but it usually ends up burning it. i want to use goldens but i cant afford them popping cuz the place i smoke is my living room or sumtimes my room, and the rooms are full of carpet, couches chairs and stuff so its pretty dangerous i dont wanna risk it. is there a chance of making my hooka air tight, or should i just go ahead and buy a new one. i had my eye on that 25 dollar junior sultan from tobaccoimports.any input would be appreciated. thx
Mathazar
I'm using a Junior Sultan that I paid 40 bucks for and it's a fantastic hookah, really easy to clean, and it fits right on top of my desk next to my keyboard. Why go thru all the bother of trying to make an old hookah smoke like new again, when for something as cheap as $25 you could be smoking a CHAMPION hookah. And the Junior Sultan DOES have an air valve. It sounds to me like it's time for you to invest in a Brand Spankin New Hookah. You'll thank yourself for doing so. Just my opinion, but I don't like using old broken merchandise. When something breaks, I usually either get it fixed if possible or I replace it for a new one. You are in the position to replace your hookah, and I don't know what your monthly budget is, but on ANY budget $25 for something like a new hookah is VERY affordable. If it was me, I wouldn't even give it a second thought. I'd buy that Sultan in a second, going on personal experience with mine, it's a real GEM!!! afrdzak
Golden Coals? If those are the type that have a "sparking agent" they suck... I've been using Abu Hitan japanese charcoal for the longest time and I seem to like them the best. But I need to expand my horizon a bit.
afrdzak
Wait... there are 2 types of Golden Charcoal. There are the black quick light ones and then there's the silver ones. Which ones are you guys talking about? The Abu Hitan coals that I'm currently using is the same as the silver japanese Golden Coals.
cypress
When we refer to golden we typically refer to the disks. I hate the japaneese coals. They taste like crap.
Mathazar
Hey man, all quick-lites, including 3Kings, have a sparking agent. The Golden Coals we're referring to are made in Holland just like the 3Kings, only the Golden Coals are, IMO, FAR better than 3Kings. But, you know what, it's like you said, you need to broaden your horizons. So what I reccommend you do is get a few rolls of each brand, and then you'll know first hand which one you like better. But, if you don't like sparking agents, then you're certainly not going to like either Goldens or 3Kings
wyteboy
for anyone who hates 3 kings, make sure it is RED HOT glowing on BOTH sides and has COMPLETELY stopped sparking. I have found that it adds little to ZERO flavor to the ma'assel...Though I have yet to try the Golden, but I will be soon...
