QUOTE (DizzyGuy @ Mar 29 2007, 06:49 PM) Anyone heard about this? Apparently there is another Xbox being added to the line above the "premium" system... supposed to come out April 29th... 120 GB HD, HD conectivity, and it's black Yeah, rumors have been floating around for a couple of weeks. It adds hdmi and a 120gb HD, otherwise its the same. At first it was suggested to be a limited edition, but i believe Microsoft said it wouldn't be. Personally i don't know why they are releasing it with the current 90nm chips, when they go 65nm which microsoft has been saying they would for the past yeah this will help lower prices along with allowing systems to run cooler.

QUOTE (Sonthert @ Mar 12 2007, 01:48 PM) snip Next time, use a source which isn’t so biased http://www.jcpa.org/ngo/ngo-4-AI.html http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/tobin092600.asp http://israelbehindthenews.com/Archives/Apr-06-01.htm#sane http://web.israelinsider.com/Views/67.htm http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=8141 http://www.adl.org/Israel/jenin/ Anyway, I wish I was a member of the form earlier so I could have refuted the majority of your points in an orderly way, I’m just going to go through a couple of them. The Thomas Jefferson quite you refer to in your first post was actually a Benjamin Franklin quote which is "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety" The quote isn't even relevant to the topic, its intent was to suggest that people who are willing to give up their freedoms to the government in exchange for safety, will soon have neither. The Israelis aren't giving up any liberties by building a wall You also seem to think the purpose of the wall is to hold people in, when its actually to keep people out. The only people within the wall are the Israelis and the arabs who actually choose to live in peace with them. The wall doesn't prevent movement between it either, it just puts checkpoints, checkpoints which almost every country employs on its boarders. And walls works quite well, Great Wall of China worked quite well, Berlin wall worked perfectly. 1 in 1000 palestinians are pieces of shit? http://www.factsofisrael.com/blog/archives/000099.html http://www.pmw.org.il/Latest%20bulletins%20new.htm http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Printable.asp?ID=11685 Israel cut off funds to Hamas because they are a known terrorist organization You seem to like to use anecdotal evidence as opposed to fact Last time i checked, nothing stops a palestinians from becoming a member of Israeli society, i even think they get voting rights. Most choose to live in camps rather then live among Jews Israel didn’t kill 20k in Lebanon nor did they go in there unprovoked, while i can agree that invasion wasn't completely warranted, it wasn't unprovoked. Have you ever seen Israel just kill innocents, i seriously doubt it other then perhaps a few isolated events. I think you would have to dig deeper to find times when palestinians actually meant killed military personal. If you really believe there is no difference between a suicide bombing and collateral damage then it is quite clear that you opinions are quite biased and based on anything but facts. Do you think Israel wants to kill civilians, or do you think when a group is shooting at you and using women and children as shields there aren't many choices. "Palestinians have free elections, carefully watched by foreign observers. The more democratic a country is, the less likely they are the aggressors." Wow, when i read that, my respect for went down a little bit, common "Talking to Palestinians and Israelis. From Israelis, its things like "Its not our fault, they did it first." or "Its complicated, there's lots of complexities in the Israeli government." "Its just the way it is/has to be." They brought it on themselves." or my favorite "You can't understand." They tend to be weak, excuses like "Why did you play ball in the house, Johnny?" lacking any substance or specifics. People, when they are telling the truth, as any cop on the beat will tell you, will often add specifics. People will be vague when they are lying or lack information. When you talk to Palestinians, they use phrases like "Its horrible.", "Like Hell", "They kill women and children.", and "They attack us day after day." but then they tell stories about riots, bombings and things of the sort, giving specific details. Which adds a certain verisimilitude to their side which is lacking in the Israeli accounts." So because the palestinians are talented liars and are more descriptive they are in the right. They always seem to forget to say how the people were killed because they were working in a bomb making factory. It gets tiring for Israel to say a couple times a month that a suicide bomber killed 14 people at a market, or 24 at a night club, or 8 on a bus. Id like to tell you about some friends of mine who lived in a settlement in Israel for most of their lives. They told me how they used to have to go to school in bulletproof busses because the arabs would shoot at them from the hilltops, how they would all have to lay on the floor because sometimes bullets would penetrate the windows and every once in a while hit a kid. Also how one time someone was going to try and car bomb their settlement but their car couldn’t make it up the steep hill and IDF eventually came and handled it. "From even conservative estimates, the Israelis detonate/launch many more devices on a daily basis than the Palestinians...the Palestinians on a good month set off 10 suicide bombs? If the Israelis even average one anti-terrorism campaign by bombing a building per day, that’s thirty." Have you any proof of these numbers. Also what you are saying is Israel does 30 tactical military strikes a month, that’s much worse then 10 terrorist suicide bombers whose targets are civilians. I would also venture to say now with the wall there are much less then 10 suicide bombings a month, however now they seem to like rocketing populated areas. Again, Hamas and many palestinians are liars, the articles i posted in the beginning show quite a few cases where palestinians claim one thing which couldn’t be further from the truth. You can’t believe everything you read. You also seem to paraphrase quite a bit, but never really link to all the “evidence” you have. I think the saddest thing is you may actually believe all the crap you spout out. Anyone actually educated enough on the subject to comment about it should have a decent knowledge of both sides, you clearly only have knowledge of one. Israel may have done some thing they aren’t proud of, but its nothing compared to what the palestinians/arabs have done to them.

I have to say this was one of the best online experiences I've had in a while. I e-mailed them at ~8:30pm their time last Wednesday, got a response back within 10 minutes, sent then another e-mail at like 10:30pm and had a response that night. They were out of stock on the medium phunnel bowls, they told me they were going to get a few more on saturday/monday of unknown color and could hold one for me. I placed my order with a not that i didn’t care about the color other then not pink and true to their word Monday I got a shipment notice, and Wednesday it was in my hands. Ordered a mya hose, glass scalli mod, phunnel bowl, and a 150g jar of smileys shisha. Everything was packaged well and was perfect. I would definitly buy from them again without a doubt, they seem to care about that 1 thing that really matters most, the customer.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...&sku=457194 I would go with the Zen Vision M, its also cheaper at B&H then newegg even without the rebate. From what i hear they are very goodplayers and because they support most popular video formats you shouldnt have to convert most of you files like you would if you got one of the other popular players like the Ipod of Zune

Busted From Smoking Shisha
maramos replied to Oorgle's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
I would file a complaint against the police officesif you really feel wronged, possibly get a lawyer. They aren’t going to show a false positive unless you actually used them for illegal substance and if they do I'm sure if you obtained a lawyer you could get an independent test or a retest. If you are really concerned get a lawyer, otherwise you are at the mercy of the police. They may have not had probable cause, but im fairly sure a hookah would give them reasonable suspicion -
QUOTE (Zerodynamic @ Mar 27 2007, 04:32 PM) Haha, dude, stock for stock the euro m5 will pwn you... Evos are nice but since they get all of their power from that boost, after 100 mph, they start to lag out. The M5 I'm talking about (which is over 10 years old mind you) will easily do 170 mph +. As far a reliablity is concerned, you got me there, the m5 requires lots of cash to keep that motor running. A N/A 3.8 liter in-line 6 making 340hp is a def high maintainace. As for the track, I would take the m5 anyway... this thing was designed for road courses and DTM after all. Now, if we wanna talk 2007 M5, and 2007 Evo stock for stock... we can leave it at that. I'm not saying Evo's are bad cars, hell if I owned one I would be rockin it too! They just aren't my thing, thats all. Stock for stock any evo I-IX would beat a euro spec E34 M5 on a strip, if you want to talk Evo XIII or IX it’s not even a competition. Also the car would be lucky to do anything over 170, especially now that the car is over 10 years old and could barely do it stock. Maybe from a 150mph roll you might stand a chance because of the extra 80 hp, but when would you ever see those speeds. Also if you want to talk 07 to 07, the M5 costs over twice as much as a base Evo so compare it something more comparable like a Euro Ralliart Evo. Seeing as a Euro Ralliart Evo XIII was faster then the E60 M5 around top gears track I think an IX which is even faster would destroy it and still cost significantly less, and in case you don't know Ralliart is Mitsubishi's motor sports division. The cars are designed for 2 completely different things. The M5 is a luxury sports sedan large enough to haul around the family but also fun. The Evo is a homologated rally car which I personally don't see the appeal other then if you rally/track it or want an extremely fast car for less than comparative cars.

Hookah And Relationship To Your Health
maramos replied to Altron's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
I love how the media always likes to make things seem like huge epidemics. Anyone remmeber thoes jelly bracelets girls wore? Here is a fairly recent study http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/cgi/...full/116/1/e113 , the big points are carbon monoxide concentrations of 0.34% to 1.40% for water-pipe smoke and 0.41% for cigarette smoke. The larger concentrations are from small unfiltered (no water?) hookahs. Also I couldn't find any conclusive studies that suggest threre are any significant harmful effects of short term exposure to low concentrations of CO Using a standard smoking protocol of 100 puffs of 3 seconds' duration in a single smoking session, 2.25 mg of nicotine and 242 mg of nicotine-free dry particulate matter were obtained. ~10x the tar of a cigarette though they suggest the average smoker takes about 10-12 drags of a cigarette so per puff it's about the same, and 1 session could have less or more nicotine depending on the cigarette. Also with all the chemicals they put in cigarettes im sure there is a difference in the levels of carcinogens in the tar. After a single 45-minute smoking session, the mean plasma concentration of nicotine rose from 1.11 to 60.31 ng/mL That interested me a little. From studies i saw this is 2-3x that of someone after 1 cigarette, even though the total nicotine content of a session is potentially less. Only thing i could attribute that to is that perhaps the body actually more of the nicotine because of the longer duration. -
QUOTE (kornkitten42 @ Mar 26 2007, 04:08 PM) QUOTE (Hookah_Bob3 @ Mar 26 2007, 06:42 PM) To kornkitten, they get away with the smoking ban because, believe it or not, 50% or more of their sales are from tobacco what? i dont understand what you are saying. They didn't get banned.. they got around it...... but i'm not sure if this is what you are talking abuot. your post is very vauge He is suggesting that because over 50% of their income comes form tobacco products, they are considered a retail tobacco shop and therefore exempt from the smoking ban. However i don't believe this is true because the fact that most hookah lounges serve food and drinks disqualify them from being considered a retail tobacco shop. Also i have been to some hookah lounges where i can guarantee less then 50% of their business is purely from hookahs. I believe the true reason is because the clean air act defines smoking using the terminology "lighted tobacco product", creating a loop hole for hookah because the tobacco isn't actually lit

QUOTE (ghostofdavid @ Mar 26 2007, 11:42 AM) Next it will be fast food. Whats wrong with that, i think fast food is one of the biggest problems today, both in the US and the UK Anyway a complete ban on public smoking is stupid, however i support some limits. If you smoking directly affects someone and somehow diminishes their quality of life then you shouldn't be able to do. Bars and hookah lounges are a completly different story, you go there with the expectation that you will be subjected to smoke.

So Hmm..dorm Smoking...
maramos replied to Hookah_Bob3's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
Damn, you guys have some nazi RAs, i never really had a problem though i wasn't in a classic style dorm. Im off campus now in this school affiliated dorm type deal, still have RAs but its like apartment style. I smoked hookah almost every day last year and never had a problem. -
Ordered 3/21 at ~ 11pm, shipped 3/22, order recieved 3/23 Anyway I ordered ~20 50g boxes of various shisha and a couple other random items. Everything was packaged well, no problems. One of the bags did have a box but otherwise order arrived as expected. Opened one box and it was quite juicy. Would definitely order from them again because they have decent prices and is in state so fast shipping at least for me.
