  1. QUOTE (gunsNhookah @ Aug 13 2009, 01:39 PM) For the past few months I have been using cocos. But the girlfriend got the electric bill and she's not happy. I thought she was gonna beat me, but she did worse. She said I couldn't use the stove to light my coals . I'm on unpaid administrative leave so I don't have the finances to fund the happy times. What would you suggest to light my cocos? And quicklites are a no no for now. I would only switch back if hookah withdrawls kick in. HAHAHAHA that had me rollin maybe you should get one of those walgreens portable coil burners

  5. QUOTE (Genie @ Jun 14 2009, 03:39 PM) QUOTE (Voski @ Jun 14 2009, 04:07 PM) Not trying to say anything negative but out of curiosity what are the benefits of smoking herbal? For me, I just don't want to get hooked on nicotine again and I don't enjoy the nicotine hangover. I get a very mild nicotine hangover from tobacco shisha, hardly enough to complain about, but I'd rather avoid it altogether. I don't need the buzz from nicotine and don't want to start needing it. However, I've yet to try the herbal stuff, still waiting for my order, for all I know the "hangover" effect I've experienced is due to the carbon monoxide and tar and not the nicotine. Guess I'll find out! dont know about Hydro, but ive smoked Saalaam herbal shisha and I don't get any buzz at all and i'm a light-weight when it comes to buzzes(i'm pretty sure i'd get annihilated by Tangiers if i try it)

  9. QUOTE (Cerritus @ May 3 2009, 01:21 PM) CVS for the glycerin in what department of CVS? i didnt find it last time...
  10. i hear longer/bigger hookahs will in general give smoother smoke than a small one, so the bambino may not be the best choice
  11. i've tried starbuzz safari melon dew and it was pretty good a bit expensive tho
  12. cocos ash alot less than QLs and they leave no taste at all(the only way i can describe is that it gives smoother smoke i guess) i think in general QL's will last tops 1 hour and cocos will last 1hr+ i think cocos give more heat too the only con about cocos are cost and they take longer to light, especially if you dont have a coil burner

QUOTE (delSol_si @ Jun 7 2009, 01:33 PM) QUOTE (annual @ Jun 7 2009, 01:05 PM) QUOTE (DrunK @ Jun 7 2009, 10:39 AM) QUOTE (Sonthert @ Jun 7 2009, 03:54 AM) I like lots of big holes (~120) with a flower of about 10 smaller holes over the phunnel. really?? can u post a pic cause i thought alot of holes on tangeirs was bad haha no, more holes = less heat . less holes = more heat, thats why people get it wrong when they use their hole pattern and throw 3 coco's on tangiers when it should take 1 1/2. I never even thought about that. So are you saying you get less heat when you poke more holes, or you have to use more coals when you poke more holes? I have always poked a bunch of holes in my bowl and have to use 3-4 coals to get a good smoke, where I know many people on here can get by with 1-2 coals. Maybe that is my problem. I am thinking about starting a topic on this... i think he's saying that when you poke more holes, you use less coals because the holes direct more heat straight to the shisha and less holes direct less heat towards the shisha, meaning you have to add more coals
