Like I said in my post last night, I was out of quicklite coals. So today I went to get some at one of the few local places I know... a crappy head shop. Rolls of Golden Charcoal were $3.99 each and $30 for a box... double the price of a full box online. The only tobacco they carried was Splash brand... $14.95 for a 250g jar. My friend paid $9.00 for them at a tobacco shop near his house. Hookahs... wow. A 20" Hookah Bros was $100. Ratswallow Posted December 8, 2004 Share Posted December 8, 2004 It all depends on where you are...I know a great store in Hollywood (not next door, but a 20 minute drive, not like I'm not down there all the time anyways...) that sells AF for $10 for 250g and I know coals are resonably priced too, but haven't needed any for a while. If there are any LA people on here, give it a go...huge selection of tobacco and hookahs all priced well. I don't remember a name, but it's on Hollywood Blvd (I think between Selma and Vine). Its a Mid East market on Balboa at Devonshire. They have decent prices for hookahs, coal, and tobacco. Will save you the drive all the way to Hollywood. They sell the fluffy hookahbros and stupid ma'asell brands for high prices. $3.99 a ROLL of coals? They should be hung upside down and throats slit. Hundreds of hookahs in stock, and since its Hollywood, they get a ... uh... colorful clientele. Last time I was there a woman was loking for a prettier crack pipe than the one she had; you know, one with fowers on it.
