"hobohookah" Help And Stem Help

Alright. So ive been thinking of an idea of making something like a hobohookah. My plan I ge a beer bottle or vadka bottle (40 oz or a liter), an aluminum funnel with a long stem, some type of seal, a hose, and caulk. Heres a picture of my idea:

I just have a few questions...
1.) What should i use as a seal (the black thing in the neck)?
2.) Would i easily be able to drill a hole in the glass with a steady hand?
3.) I said that i would use caulk should i use (or other sealant) to seal the hose (the red part in my pic)?

The second part of this thread is about my mini hookah. I had a pumpkin style hookah that my friend broke the other day. Im going to try and find a new base at walmart or something, which shouldnt be too hard. But the one thing that i will need is a new stem (the 1" pumpkin stem wont do). Where would i be able to find some tubing to go over the stem i already have to make it loner. I heard that metal pens work, but does anyone else have any ideas?

Drilling into the glass is difficult. You'll need a glass drill bit (home depot $10). Cover the area you are drilling with masking tape so if it breaks shards don't go flying all over the place and hold the glass under a small stream of water at the sink to avoid breathing in any glass shards since they can cause havoc in your lungs. For the seals use some kind of rubber...hardest part is finding a piece that'll fit. Hope that helps some.

FOr my seal on my various alcohol bottle hookahs i use gorilla/duct tape wrapped directly around the stem. The problem with your design is that with a base as small as a beer bottle you will probably end up getting bubbles to high and get water with your draws.

Make sure if you want to do it the hose is very high on the bottle and the fill level is very low.
