Trusted Shisha Brands And Flavors

I'm one of the only Layalina haters around, but the flavors just dont seem right, they arent necessarily bad, but very inaccurate and simply awkward. The only decent flavors of theirs I've had are melon and jasmine, out of at least 8 other flavors. Al Waha is a good choice for beginners in my opinion, I'd choose Waha over Layalina any day.

I agree -- I don't label most of my shisha tubs because I can recognize them by smell, but the 6 or so Layalina flavors I have are kinda indecipherable. If someone told me the watermelon was the blueberry and the blueberry was the watermelon, I might believe them. In my opinion, Layalina is a slight step up from Al Amir... and I don't hold Al Amir very high. All the flavors have a sort of generic sweetness to them -- too candy-like for my tastes...

Thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy! The vanilla is the worst at that, it smells nothing remotely close to vanilla, doesnt taste anything like vanilla, but still is called vanilla. Even though Al Amir isnt that great, I'd still choose them over Layalina because their flavors are more accurate, they smell like the flavor they're meant to be, and I could enjoy certain flavors a lot more.
But back on topic, I'd advise people against Layalina, from my experience it is NOT a reliable tobacco in terms of flavor.

What do you consider as accurate flavoring?? I have never found a brand that is 100% right on all their flavors. Look at starbuzz, their watermelon bombed worse than an angry high schooler on a rampage. I personally love layalina, some of their flavors are off, but they are better than most of the companies flavors that are competition. At least they are consistent and you always know what to expect.

I personally like Sexy, Layalina,Fusion,Pharoah,Al waha,Al Fakher,Golden Alfakher,Al Qemah,Nakhla, A Alajmy, Baharin no lonrger around rest in peace (the Best), Fumari, Star Buzz, Tangiers for a kick in the head. LOL ( Jefferson),Not in any order I like them all. Some brand flavors are better than others. But all in all I like them as a whole.

I don't like Sinbads, Hookah Hookah, Sultan, Saharah, Soex and Hookah Brothers

Al Fakher - Solid
Starbuzz - pry 90% of thier flavors smoke and taste pretty good
Al Amir - great cut but really I can't stand any flavor - has a cardboard aftertaste
Al Waha - Pretty dry - absolutely nothing special about this brand
Havana - pretty consistant from what I've tried and good flavor
Layalina - good

I've been trying to figure out my favorites lately, and this is what I've done so far:

*Layalina: Smokeable, but only if its the only thing around. Generic taste behind the flavors, and not exactly the strongest flavor either. Thick cut.
Good flavors I've tried: Mint
Ok flavors I've tried: Mixed Fruit, Bahraini Apple, Fig, Blueberry
Bad flavors I've tried: Apricot, Coconut, Strawberry

*Hookah-Hookah: This is either hit or miss depending on the flavor. Some of the best smoke I've gotten was from Hookah Hookah, along with some of the best flavor. And some of the worst flavors. Thin cut.
Good flavors I've tried: Lemonade, Key Lime Pie, Grape
Ok flavors I've tried: Fruit Punch, Kiwi Pineapple
Bad flavors I've tried: Butterscotch, Cherry

*Al Waha: My personal favorite brand. Smokes well, but the best part is the flavor. Very full flavored. Thick cut.
Good flavors I've tried: Strawberry, Mint, Bounty
Ok flavors I've tried: After Nine (Chocolate Mint)
Bad flavors I've tried:

*Nahkla: Very good, but limited experience. Smoked well and had an interesting flavor. Thick cut.

I consider a flavor to be 'accurate' when the name of the flavor does a good job of explaining what the shisha will taste like, with a few exceptions, like sex on the beach. With some Layalina flavors, like vanilla, it smells nothing like vanilla and tastes nothing like vanilla. Their blackberry doesnt taste like blackberry. I cant expect anything to taste like I'm eating a blackberry, but it doesnt even taste like its flavored like a blackberry, its just plain inaccurate, or thats the only way I can think of how to describe it.
Sure, other brands have one or two flavors that are entirely off, but with Layalina, literally 10 out of 12 of their flavors I've tried dont taste right to me. I havent bought the same flavor twice with them, so I cant say if they're consistant, so I'll have to take your word for it.
If people like what their getting from Layalina, by all means, go for it. I personally don't like it, and dont think "they are better than most of the companies flavors that are competition."

Mmmm, AF FTW. They've got 7 50g packs at hookahcompany.com, that's how I was introduced, and all of their flavors seem spot-on. I'm still a little scared to try rose >.<

hahahahah i had rose a couple of times and everytime i taste it, i always think of my grandmothers bath water... it's sick in mho... I remember being a little girl and she'd but those naasty oil beads in the tub and take a bath the whoel house smelled of it.... and the smell and tastes of the hookah... reminds me of it... YUCK!!!

Hey, I love a Rose smoke here and there... I recently received my Romman samples, Apple and Rose which I'll be reviewing soon, and gave the rose a try -- it really hit the spot.

I didn't think Layalina Vanilla tasted/smelled like vanilla either. In fact, I had Vanilla, Blueberry and Watermelon all in unmarked containers, and wound up spending 30 minutes smelling and debating with my friends over which was which I don't think we ever came to a conclusion, either...

a rose mixed with chocolate isn't half bad... The only drawback to rose is its a very strong flavor, almost too strong. But its a good smoke from everycompany I've gotten it from. It can be a little pungent like most flower flavors, I noticed there is deffinately a strong divide between those who like and don't like flower flavors.

I recommend trying rose but get ready to wash dilegently afterwards, the flavor tends to linger, even more than a standard flavor.

I dig AF, but I stick with Tangiers for most of my smoking. Once you learn to pack it there aint nothing quite like it. in my opinion it produces the most satisfying, thick and flavorful smoke out of any of these brands. AF is good but some flavors burn out really quickly. Layalina is okay. Some flavors are good, some are miss. One little known brand I really like is Afzal, probably one of the best brands I've tried. it's fairly cheap and everything has been intensely flavorful.
