  1. QUOTE (Scheetz @ Nov 9 2007, 03:34 PM) Another Defensivecarry Member. Glad to see you made it here as well! How is the SA treating you? I have been pondering buying the 4inch GI and doing a custom carry build off of it. Yep. I'm Nonstickron there too. I had trouble with it when it was new. The 3" 1911s are notorious for being finicky though. I sent it in and they made it shoot like it should though. I've thought about getting a bunch of custom work done to it but now I'm torn between that and just selling it and buying something thats what I want "out-of-the-box." Gotta do something. The snubby little gripshift wears a hole in the web of my hand whenever I try to put 200-300 rnds through it. Either that or I need to toughen up my hands a bit, hehe. As a side note to all you folks who are frightened by guns... GOOD. They ARE scary. You'd have to be dumb not to be scared of them. Someone who is 'casual' with guns is an accident waiting to happen. But don't let your fear make you foolish or rule your mind. Its not a snake that might bite you at any moment. Its a tool. Take proper precautions, have proper respect for the hazards, play it SMART. I continue to attempt to educate everyone I know about proper respect for and handling of firearms. I also encourage them not to be 'casual' with powertools and propane bbq grills...
  2. QUOTE (Jonesy @ Oct 24 2007, 01:36 PM) what would happen if some loony took it off me. They dont know about it unless you draw it. Don't draw it unless you plan on immediately aiming and pulling the trigger. Guns aren't for "scaring away" badguys. They are for stopping them. I ran across a quote once, I'll try not to butcher it too bad... "People say only paranoid people carry guns. I've got a gun...what the hell do I have to be paranoid about?" -Clint Eastwood Springfield Armory GI Micro .45 (3") Great site. 3. Jasmine Dry when I opened the box. Added 5ml of honey and 5 of glycerine. Smokes good, tastes pleasant to me. My friend wont smoke it cause he says it tastes like fabric softener. In my opinion its a nice break from all the fruity stuff I've been smoking. Is a bit "laundryish" though. hehe
  4. QUOTE (ZenSilk @ Sep 7 2007, 11:11 AM) Dude, if you have a Mod or Mya hookah hookah you could get an Autoseal Mya adapter from a bunch of sites that probably would only cost like 2 or 3 bucks more. Then you wouldnt need to worry about plugs and youd have an autoseal hookah! Thats not the point. I think it looks awesome. I'd probably even stick them in the autoseals.
  5. Well, I tried Tangiers Horchata. Was a good taste going there for awhile, then I lost control somehow. It was mostly smooth for about 30 minutes but the smoke started to weakin cause the coals were dying...so I added more heat, over-compensating, which got too harsh. Took some heat off and it got smoother but I lost the flavor at by that point and the people I had been smoking with. I'd call it a partial success. I think most of the time when people say the flavor faded its more like they just got used to it. I think thats what happened to me...flavor couldnt' have just vanished after all. This was with a small, generously packed, double foiled phunnel bowl. Unfortunately, I ended up just dumping most of the bowl because I wanted to get it good and clean before some friends come over tonight (hookah virgins) and I figured its better to start them on something like layalina orange.

I dont need one yet but would be good to know for the future. http://youtube.com/watch?v=AUDZ5Dof_5Q My 3 hose Abyss came with 2. Interesting, I thought that thing had autoseal valves. Where did you get it. Maybe I can ask the distrubutor you got it from.

  8. Screw butane lighters, get a propane torch. $15 for the kit. Comes with the propane fuel tank and the torch attatchment and then propane refill canisters are less than $3 at the hardware store. Lights a finger coal held with hot-dog tongs in less than a minute. http://hand-tools.hardwarestore.com/69-407...kit-225466.aspx
  9. All kinds of stuff...awesome internet radio program. Currently playin Fischerspooner www.finetune.com
  10. Well, I'll be in it till about 1 today.
  11. Hmm... I'll make an effort to be on it more.
  12. Cool. I've played Planetside, Saga of Ryzom, WOW, Eve Online, COH, Everquest 2, Rappelz, Maplestory, etc. Eve Online was probably the most enjoyable...the community aspect was awesome. Was the reason I quit playing too...being a director in a group of people thats grows to over 1200 people kinda takes the fun out of a game.
  13. I saw one recently but I forget where. I'll keep my eyes open.
  14. Just get a propane torch. Hardware store, $15-$20 for the whole kit. One I got was called "Plumbing Torch".
