  1. Paypal DOES offer consumer protection, but I don't know how willing they'd be to give you protection for buying tobacco (which is against their policy).
  2. I've got 240 grams of Watermelon lying around at a mates house. Haven't smoked it personally, but he hit it up and said it was completely nasty... kind of lessens my desire to try it.
  3. Looks very nice, but also really unstable. How do you keep it propped up?
  4. There was a thread like this not to long ago, and my wish is still the same: Turkish Delight I have a box with Rose, Strawberry and Chocomint in it that smells just like Turkish delights, but unfortunately the flavour isn't quite there.
  5. Please, edit your post to remove the caps- it's really annoying to read. On topic: I've got a pretty much identical plastic yard glass sitting in my room at the moment. I was thinking of converting it into a smoking device as well, although I think I'll approach it slightly differently from yours. The stem looks very precarious, although the amount of smoke you've managed to get is commendable. Any pics of it in use?
  6. Your best bet is to get some Zaghoul flavoured Tobacco, which is pretty much what you seem to be looking for. Checkthe reviews section for which company makes it, because I can only think of Tangiers off the top of my head.
  7. QUOTE (tingjunkie @ Oct 18 2007, 10:42 AM) QUOTE (john_smith @ Oct 16 2007, 07:06 AM) The vase of the hookah is a plastic juice bottle, about 10" high. I drilled a hole into the lid of the bottle, and through the hole goes two hollowed out pens joined end-to-end with electrical tape for the stem. The bottle has a hole in the side with a wide-ish plastic straw for use as the hose. For a bowl I use an apple cut in half and hollowed out in order to make room for the shisha... The pipe smokes horribly.... Any help would be appreciated:) The contraption you just described is pretty different than my design or e.d.s.'s, so it's hard to guess where the problem might be found. To be totally honest, it sounds like you threw the thing together from whatever you found around the house and didn't spend a hell of a lot of time in the construction process. Since it smokes so poorly, I would just scrap it and start over. Take a look at some of the designs and materials others have used to build similar hookahs. There are several sets of instructions to be found around the How-To-Funhouse. Good luck with any future attempts. If you get it right, it will smoke well enough to be worth the trouble. Although it IS made from common household materials, there was no shortage of effort put into the construction. The pipe is airtight at every seal (except one, which can be fixed easily) and should function perfectly. Like I said, I'm thinking the main problem with the pipe was the apple head. Regardless though, I don't have the motivation to make another HHH, I'll just stick with my Egyptian from now on.
  8. I think Al Fakher is manufactured in Dubai, so you might want to get her to pick some of that up.
  9. QUOTE (tingjunkie @ Oct 10 2007, 10:51 AM) QUOTE (everydayshisha @ Oct 9 2007, 04:33 PM) QUOTE (wufabufa @ Oct 9 2007, 07:51 PM) please guys, no more copper in your hookahs. have some reguard for your own safety. Copper is food-safe thus used in cookware Fumes (copper oxide) that are constantly produced by copper at room temp (due to reaction with hydrogen) are minimal and completetly harmless to human. Cheers and thanks for your interest for health Oh crap... here we go again. Another copper debate. Nice job on the little guy e.d.s! Looks like it hits the way a HHH ought to. John Smith, please show us some pics or tell us how you made yours. Perhaps we can troubleshoot some problems for you. I don't have a camera on me, but the construction is fairly straightforward. The vase of the hookah is a plastic juice bottle, about 10" high. I drilled a hole into the lid of the bottle, and through the hole goes two hollowed out pens joined end-to-end with electrical tape for the stem. The bottle has a hole in the side with a wide-ish plastic straw for use as the hose. For a bowl I use an apple cut in half and hollowed out in order to make room for the shisha. All the joints are pretty much air tight except for the hole which the hose comes out of, although I don't think that has alot of effect. The pipe smokes horribly. I've tried to use it three times now (twice with Havana Grape, once with Al Fakher Strawberry) and have received thin, unpleasantly harsh smoke that I can't draw for long without coughing. The only thing I can think of being the problem is the apple bowl, as the hookah itself seems to be well constructed otherwise (or at least it seems so to me). Any help would be appreciated:)
  10. Great idea, can't believe no-one else has thought of this. Give it a go man, tell us how it works.
  11. Yeah my mate has one of these pipes, and they are really quite nice. They look great, give plenty of flavour and have a really sturdy/well constructed feel to them. They also come with a great case for carrying the hookah in, so they are good in terms of portability as well. We've never managed to get one to produce copious amounts of smoke, but that probably has more to with us smoking sub-par tobaccos (Al Ajamy, Afzal, Havana). If you're looking to get one, and especially if they are discounted, then go for it.
  12. What about replacing a broken vase grommet? Mine pretty much disintergrated on my pipe's second use ($25 POS from eBay). The grommet is clinging to life at the moment, and I feel its total and utter annihilation can't be far off. Has anyone had to jury-rig a replacement vase grommet?
  13. Very nice, my HHH produces about a 1/5 of that amount of smoke:( What brand Shisha are you using?
  14. Which coals are you using? Are they Alalali? I've found the heat given off by the Alalali's can vary greatly depending on how low you expose them to flame when lighting them. Generally though, one decently lit cube should be sufficient for a good session with Nakhla. Sit the cube so it is 2/3 on the bowl, with 1/3 of it dangling off of the edge. Within 10-15 pulls it should be smoking decenlty. From there rotate it around the bowl every 10 or 15 minutes, or everytime you feel the smoke is getting harsh. Also, pack the shisha so it is a mm or two below the top of the bowl, so when you hold the bowl in front of your face and facing directly up you can't see any shisha. Let me know how that works out for you.
