  1. i dont have another large one to compare it to, heh (still deciding between obelisk/colossus or KM talj abyad as mentioned in l0aded's thread), but it feels pretty good to me. the QT is stabler but thats most likely attributed to its smaller size, unless large myas feel just as stable as their small ones then i would say it is less sturdy. dont have many complaints about it though, aside from 1 fitment issue which doesnt really hurt it in anyway and it smokes decently but not as well as my mya. do the down steams on large hookahs usually to go down to practically the way bottom? the base is like 2 inches of water and 8 inches of air probably.
  2. not sure most of the cases ive seen all look rather similar. it was on the shelf next to a bunch of myas though so that does sound probable.
  3. got it at an open-air market in dubai for about 50 USD. the case says ager, but i couldnt google much about that brand. anyone have information about it? set on floor of my home. smokes pretty well. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/in...igo827/ager.jpg this is the shop i got it from. close up of the base on the far far right. (to the right of the red one) http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/in...827/hookahs.jpg stuck my phunnel and razan hose in it, even though it came with a normal set. it came with that cool shisha tub on the counter too.
  4. to be honest i find that people usually learn to default close thumbs if you tell them to just always keep it down unless you are smoking. someone else also said that non-autoseal has better flow. judging by the replies in this thread i think OP and i are going to get a 3-hose of some kind, just not sure if we want mya autoseal or that gorgeous KM!
  5. havent been on this forum in awhile. me and l0aded in orange county area. specifically UCI region.
  6. that auto seal stuff seems like it can get really annoying with alot of people smoking, especially if they are new to hookahing in general. i think we're mainly looking at the gyro or colossus from mya now since KM doesnt have the autoseal feature. or if there is a way to make it autoseal using DIY methods that would be great because that KM looks awesome! the white really makes it look pristine.
  7. Review:Starbuzz Pumpkin Pie Setup: Mya QT Hose: Mya washable Screen/Foil: regular Liquid In base: ice water Cut: normal starbuzz cut, few stems. 9/10 Smell: like all starbuzz, smells delicious (often smells much better than it tastes) 9/10 Taste: Very mellow, definitely pumpkin pie though. I do think it could be stronger, but it tastes good. 8/10 Smoke Thickness: the usual thick starbuzz smoke 9/10 Buzz: Pretty normal starbuzz i guess. 8/10 Duration: small bowl smokes out in an hour for me. pretty awesome 10/10 total: 9/10 Review:Starbuzz Guava Setup: Mya QT Hose: Mya washable Screen/Foil: regular foil Liquid In base: ice water Smell: Smelled delicious 10/10 Taste: Very cool tasting an unusual flavor like guavas in smoke. i loved it 10/10 Smoke Thickness: thickkkkkk 9/10 Buzz: zzzzzzzzzzzzz 8/10 Duration: same 10/10 total 9/10
  8. so if i dont pack it tightly or do anything special i should just treat it like normal starbuzz/etc shisha and see how it goes? will try and post back btw did i acclimate right? i just left it out spread/mixed overnight on the table where i usually smoke. maybe about 16 hours. can you overacclimate shisha?
  9. cant seem to get it to smoke well. set up: mya qt, regular bowl (waiting on funnel), silver square coals, packed it tight i acclimated by leaving it spread out on the counter overnight, then packed it relatively tight for the bowl like i heard people say you should. it was harsh and didnt smoke smoothly nor did it get thick like ive seen others. any ideas on how to make tangiers work without a funnel? not sure if i gave enough info about my set up let me know
  10. should have mentioned i was on a weekend vacation, so yeah i was at the strip haha. thanks guys for your responses. i ended up going to 2 places ended up trying paymons because it seemed very famous and had won awards. i loved it alot, but mostly for the food haha. the hookah was mediocre at best. Seemed like a cheap brand (most places i go to use starbuzz or something of that quality) which lasted only 30-40 minutes and didnt get thick smoke or flavor (if youre used to starbuzz types). bit pricey as well, but hey its vegas. overall great experience and service. food is terrific and atmosphere is awesome. other one i tried was red's hookah lounge. pretty much the worst hookah lounge i had ever been to. they had the largest selection of flavors but that didnt help much. service rarely came and when i asked for help and why its not hitting well they replied with an elitist "hookah smokers smoke for the taste, guess youre just not hookah smokers". guess they didnt know that good hookah bars can get good taste AND smoke AND not have it burn ever 5 minutes. i wouldnt recommend it.
  11. Hey guys I'm at las vegas and was wondering if anyone knew a good hookah bar to hit up. Thanks
