How To Get Your Hookah Sessions To Taste Like The Hookah Bar...

Recommended Posts

It can't be that hard. I went to one the other night, $5 each.... $10 bowl of Starbuzz Rasberry and 3-4 scrap looking type of coals all differnet in shapes.... every now and then they came bya nd took the coals and added more, that was it....

WAY more flavor. NO burnt taste when the tobacco gets stuck on the foil.

IT WAS GOOD.

How can I do that? I got my new Hookah from S.S. and I'm frustrated cause I want to have a good smoke.

The Hookah bar guy told me the main thing I need is good coals, then good tobacco, but he didnt know what kind of coals they used, they didnt look special...

I have tried Layalina flavors, Al Fakher flavors, and Pharoh Flavors and some other cheaper ones in the past, with Jap Coals, Quick Lites, Three Kings Quicklights, and NOW Diamante Finger Coals...

Different combonations, different techniques from the forums?

WHO HERE CAN BRING ME SOME GOODNESS?!?!

I'm new here, but this seems like the obvious answer to me. I think you should try getting some starbuzz maybe? and call the hookah bar and see if someone else there knows what coals they're using. I doubt they use anything quicklight. Edited by casey

Few quick suggestions make sure you don't over pack the bowl. The second is i agree with casey your bar probally isn't using quicklights. Also someone told me this once and it helped me... Move the coal around alittle bit and don't put it directly in the middle.

The chucnky different sized coal is natural wood coal, it generally seems to smoke alot better, not sure the exact rason probly something to do with it burning hotter but not having as much actual contact with the foil since its not a molded disc. they have a coal pit in the back so they have a constant supply of fresh, hot coal, most ppl cant do that at home.

It's a mixture of the natural coals they use, the constant replacement of said coals, and the high quality tobacco. There's no reason you can't replicate a similar experience at home

its shoot and miss, i've learned that it takes time to figure out your perfect session. keep trying and if it feels whatever you are doing is not working for you, start from the basic: tobacco sprinkled in, not touching the foil, 2 rings of holes, depending on how big your bowl 1-3 pieces of coal and start from there.

Simple, don't EVER clean your hookah out. Don't even rinse it out with water... Then your sessions at home will taste like the sessions over at my hookah bar smile.gif

o_O To the newb, that sounds like it'd be nasty unless you kept the same flavors in it all the time. Then yeah, flavor abounds and I'd totally hit that happy.gif

my next move is trading my apple al fakher 250 container for possibly some starbuzz (smaller amount) or some GRAPE al fakher....

see, i already have the natural coals though, theya re the finger kind that you break up in pieces they ash better and take A LONG time to light, so they arent quick lights...

ehh, you're just gonna have to mess around till you figure out the best way for your hookah and your tastes.
if there was one easy way to make a great hookah for everybody it would be at the top of the forum with flashing lights and gold plated monkey ninjas.
