I made one out of tinfoil and it worked like a charm! Of course, it heated up pretty quickly and it was hard to keep the massel from burning, but it did the trick...the things a man can do when pushed into a corner... I thought the concern was with aluminum foil, releasing aluminum which may or may not be associated with Alzhimer's deposits in the thunking organ... E.G. My grandfather died from Alzheimer's and my grandmother cooked with aluminum for many years. I don't think aluminum actually effects you unless it extracts alluminum deposits from the metal. All the hookah stores sell hookah foil made from aluminum. I'm using regular store bought aluminum foil. The issue that was talked about in the forum was in regard to tin foil releasing toxic fumes.
