I work at Circuit City so im sure I can get a nice discount on either one so im not to worried about prices, but tell me which one you think I should get and why. While I enjoy X-box the only notable title I can think of is the Halo series. angemonkwj Posted November 4, 2006 Share Posted November 4, 2006 im all for the Wii. i dont think that the ps3 is gonna be the bad ass system that sony says it will. and with the wii having the virtual console it will have the largest library of any home console period. im c'mon, all the nes, snes, n64, genesis, and turbograffix 16 games can be downloaded, plus it will play the gamecube games and it has some impressive launch titles. and for the price, you cant beat it. there is also a web browser u can download for it for free for like the first 7 months(browse hookahforum on ur tv). i also cant justify spending $600 dollars for a game system. xbox 360 is ok, but it's lackluster lineup right now makes it hard to pick that system up right now also. i know that if and when the price comes down, i'll buy a ps3 (especially for god of war 2) but for me the decision is easy to make right now. There would have to be a CD burner inside the PS3 so that it can do "something" to the disc so them games will only play on the first PS3 its played on. This just doesn't seem logical, cause the PS3 price is going to be high enough as it is, and adding something to this effect would just make more people turn away from PS3 and go toward 360. Granted the Xbox360 just sold i think 4-5million now?, when the PS3 sales are projected to be around 9million. Thats world wide Ya baby. PS3 is not going the same way "DreamCast" did. DreamCast was WAY ahead of its time. I mean if it came out when the PS2 did, i bet it would still be here now. But hey, can't change time eah? My gut is telling me that somthing isnt right in sonyland these days. im not gona spend a weeks worth of wages on somthing that might fail to keep my happy for more than 5 years. and yes its gona be buggy buggy as hell. remember 360, that was disapointings, ps3 is already having problems before launch, they are having alot of trouble making the systems. you know they are cutting corners to make money, price to build a ps3 > price of ps3. its a shame that the videogames have come to this, back in the day kids would just get both. only buy the ps3 if your gona be playing alot of ps3 exclusvie games. gta4 is realeasing at the same time.
