In my experience the jasmine and rose ma'assel have bitter, perfumey flavors that don't appeal to new smokers as well as the more pleasant and familiar strawberry and melon. I'd think a good way to figure out if you'd like it is to try some rose-water, likely avilable at your local Indian or Mid Eastern mart. I couldnt get myself to smoke through the entire bowl, it just tasted off, although the flavor was strong, it was also sickening. El Basha has a deep floral flavor that is full in body but not overwhelming, it is one of my favorite smokes, I think it gets it just right.
