Awesome Deal !

Recommended Posts

Hey guys ! I was seaching for a new hookah base and i found a great deal ( i guess it is great, i will let you decide ) . This deal includes a BRAND NEW 65 cm AF Medium Solid hookah ( the steam is quite different from the one i already own ), some AF shisha and a pack ( 100 pieces ) of coconut coals. All these for 75 RON ( that's 23 $ ). So, for 23 $ i can get a new AF and some AF shisha. Do you think it is a good deal? Can i resell this hookah and get a good price for it?

Here are the picture of the hookah:

what's so special about the solid version of AF hookah? my actual hookah is the solid version ( the small one i think ) . i saw few hours ago on a different forum a guy from US selling an AF small solid with 160 $. don't get me wrong, i am super happy to own such a great pipe but wtf

this is an older photo of my AF pipe. i'm quite sure it is solid :

@bawhee: my gf bought it few moments ago. she should be home in the next couple of hours with the pipe. i talked with her on the phone and she said it's new and the guy gave us some extra gifts.

Yeah, that looks like an Al Fakher Small Solid. Hard to tell for sure as I'm looking at the pic on my phone and it's quite pixelated. Anyway, they're so expensive these days because they're no longer made. Not to mention the crisis going on in Syria, where these pipes were made. So any Syrian-made pipes are up in value right now, because there's no telling when we'll see more produced again.

The Solid line of Al Fakher hookahs are the most sought after, mainly because they were the best made. The "Light" ones are hollow inside and just not as durable.

If it were me, I'd never let that pipe go.

I would have to agree with Chris on this one as well, don't let that pipe go. Besides the rarity factor, it is quite a beautiful pipe, even though the vase could be swapped out with a nicer quality one. The pipe itself is just very good looking.

yeah man...i watch the news and i know about the situation from Syria. We can all hope that the things will go better for those countries ( Syria, Iran, Irak, Pakistan, etc )

Ok, so my gf bought the new AF so here is my review. From the begining i must to say i am deeply disappointed with the new purchase. The hookah is new indeed but is FAR from being great ! It has tons of problems.

1. The bowl :

classic bowl, very strong and quite heavy . THIS IS THE BEST PART of the hookah!

2. The hose:

the pipe came with a disposable al fakher hookah hose. it looks cheap and small.

0554.jpg[/IMG]

3. The pipe stem:

quite heavy, nice AF design. however, i don't like the assembly. The other AF is MUCH better assembled.

4. The upper trey:

looks really good ! it's deeper than my old one. it has the AF inscriptions on it.

5. The lower trey:

HORRIBLE ! it doesn't fit ! the whole is too tiny and i cannot use this 2nd tray ! it's smaller than the other one and it is USELESS. here is a comparison :

qgku.jpg[/IMG]

left - AF small solid

right - new AF

6. boho:

SMALL ! VERY SMALL, VERY FRAGILE ! worthless imo ! i also have problems with the stem pipe because it doesn't fix on this lame boho.

left - new AF base

right - my ugly actual boho

in conclusion, the new pipe isnt as good as i thought. i will see how it smokes...

Get a KM Prince if you're looking for something similar to your AF. It mimics the awesome AF style, yet with the quality of a KM.

LOL Chreees ! I was just looking at a KM Prince few moments ago ! and YES, i think i will go with the prince model if they ( a german site ) will still have it untill i will get the money ( i need few more days to get all the money i need ). One more question, could this AF be a fake one? i mean...the vase is quite small and the lower tray does not fit at all :(

If the people who run the web store are cool you could email them and ask them if they can keep it for you for a while ;)

the guy who owns the hookah shop/hookah website is a really guy. He told me that he doesn't have any KM Prince atm, but he is expecting to get the hookah in the stock by the end of August. However, he offered me a nice discount to Farida hookahs and KM Trimetal, Kamanja and Pharonie.

So, i came back with a review on my new AF Small Light hookah.

I used this hookah for 3 smoke sessions so far, so i finally can write you my impressions regarding this AF pipe. Even though i had 3 smoking sessions, i used only 1 type of shisha : Nakhla Melon , mostly because i smoked with my gf and this is her fav flavor. Here is my setup :

Bowl: Mya small clay bowl

e451a6.jpg[/IMG]

Shisha: Nakhla melon

69f6e2.jpg[/IMG]

Coals: Cocobrico coals ( 2 pieces )

bee9a6.jpg[/IMG]

Base liquid: water with ice

Hose: Ager Freeze Hose ( washable ) - my fav hose

21d700.jpg[/IMG]

bbe877.jpg[/IMG]

First of all, i had a little problem fixing the stem in the vase ( the grommet was too thick ) but i quickly solved the problem. I thought it will be a lame smoke and i put my gf to prepare the other AF setup. i was sooo wrong ! This hookah is absolutely amazing ! It smokes like a real f-ing champ ! Yes, i had lots of problems with this AF : the vase is TOO SMALL and i cannot use it, the stem grommet is TOO THICK and i had to replace it, the lower tray is USELESS ( the hole is too thin and i cannot use it ) but darn ! worth all the effort ! What i like the most at this AF is the fact that is VERY SILENT ! i never smoked before from such a silent hookah ! Great experience ! I'm not going to sell it anymore because i like it too much. IMO, this is a great pipe, almost as good as the solid version.

0e94d7.jpg[/IMG]

rating :

for the whole package : 5/10 : useless tray, small vase, thick grommet, ugly washable hose

for the way it smokes : 10/10 - GREAT experience

So, i would give it an 8. It is a lovely pipe and it cost me 20 $ .

Thats about the cheapest pipe of good quality I've seen in my life.

thanks man !  To be sure it's not a fake( i am a person against cheap, fake things), i compared the new AF stem with the old solid one. Here are the results:

- the ash tray looks the same as my old one but it's heavier. It's branded and and looks classy.

- the bowl adapter is a little thinner compared to the AF solid one. However, this new hookah came with 2 adapters : a male and a female. I didn't get any male bowl adapter when i bought the first AF. Well...a nice surprise anyway.

- the leght is absolutely the same, not even a cm longer or shorter ( too bad, because these syrian hookahs have a smaller pipe than the egyptians and you cannot use those big KM ( or any other egyptian ) vases.

- the weight is not the difference maker as you may think. the new one is just a little lighter than the solid one. I read lots of threads where people suggested that the weight difference is BIG ! That's absolutely false ! You have to keep them both in your hands for a while to realise which one is heavier.

- the purge looks the same, has the same thickness and structure.

- the hose valve is also identical.

So, i am quite sure it's not a fake. Now, i am looking for a nice boho to fit this wonderful pipe.

Zaharahookahs.com for the boho. They have some for $75, and should work perfectly with your new AF. :)

@Chreees: how tall should the boho be ? i found this boho:

http://www.turkeysonline.com/product/253

and it's the same size as my current vase ( aprox 28 cm ). So,is this the size for an AF stem?

Agreed.

Well, still waiting for the track number. It has been 2 weeks since I paid and no tracking number yet. I've already emailed them, but still no answer in the last 2 days.
