Appraisals: What Is Your Item Worth?

I think I remember Kasbah selling those for around $100, maybe a bit more? They were pretty cool. Interesting design. Will yours have the tray that sits within the marble tray? I remember Mark telling me you couldn't use the marble tray to ash coals in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure, as I only have a single crappy picture from Craigslist to base it off of. Comes with a Syrian dish base and a nice wooden hose for $80, so I might try to talk down the price a bit when I go to pick it up, although that might be a dick move since he is already holding the pipe for me. I figured they tray is very small, I will slide a large Turkish tray over it. But then again, I won't be using it much at all.

I found a lot of hookahs on ebay however the only 1 i like appears to be significantly overused and has oxidation on the downstem. What do you guys think these are worth? You guys are welcome to buy it all as well because im not in the running for this.

It just looks like hard water buildup. But I would be worried about pitting and corrosion underneath

And when you look at the 6th picture, the top section of the stem looks to be severely bent. The Egyptian with the red purge cap has a cracked hose port, which you can only see in that picture. The crack is out of view in all of the other pictures. That bit and all of the foil on the bowl ports? Seems like they are trying to hide some major flaws.

After some thought, I do not think I will be buying the marble Syrian. But since I am still going to be in the seller's area, if anyone is interested I will purchase it and sell it to you for what I paid + shipping, so total would be about $95 unless I can negotiate the price down.

It's not bad looking. Not exactly my style but deff looks good someone should pick it up. I don't see it as a practical piece but it's deff nice to look at!

I'm not really competing. I just showed everyone those. lol I'm not buying them because some of them have cracks in the purge vals, ports and even the down stem. Also the syrian in that picture seems to be corroding. Wek-Sos pointed that out for me. out of that lot you may get 2 working hookahs. Either way it is a tough call.

I think they have true use to them and would be good display pieces. Depending on the price of corse

I think if it had better colors, I would be all over it. I'm just not feeling it, and I bet it's weight will be very costly to ship.

I'm not a fan of white pipes either so i can't argue with you their. However a pipe like that has a lot of trade value. You buy it for yourself and keep it as trade bait in case you don't like it. However I have seen those marble syrians on ebay a few years ago. Someone on another forum told me that those are lighter than they look and may indeed have stainless steel under that marble. Worst case scenario, if that person is nearby you can check that pipe out if you end up buying it you can always keep it as a trade chip or just leave it if you or no 1 you know want it. Personally i also am not feeling that pipe. But i know girls who would! lol

Agreed, downstem looks fine, that is what all copper down stems look like if you don't keep them dry. (of course that is assuming it is copper like most syrians)

Not a bad suggestion at all wek BUT, 120 shipped for that vase is steep. But 100 for each sounds fair to me.

What I would do is keep them together, some are nuts for bohemians and some are nuts for nawras pipes, heck some are nuts for both, so keep them together that way you have a wider customer base begging to buy :-)
