Didn't taste any apple flavor, everything tasted like anise. Everyone thought the flavor was black licorice. Rating: 2.5/10 Final Thoughts: I def would not buy this flavor again. Dark golden brown. A few pieces of chaff. Damp and somewhat sticky. Aroma: Wonderful, tangy apple smell. Delicious aroma. However ...Taste: ... once I started smoking, the wonderful apple smell completely vanished. The apple was totally overtaken by a flat, somewhat bitter anise flavor. I love the taste of black licorice and absinthe, but this had none of the richness or depth. Very, very disappointing. I started with this when I first started. Thought this was original a strong tobacco taste that mimicked anise. Now that I am more well versed it's nice to see this again. Heavy Anise... I mean HEAVY. I don't like it very much at all, but I don't like anise. But as far as Double Apple goes it's a pretty stout, one of the better.
