Hookah: 35" Egyptian
Bowl: Crown Micro Classic v2
Screen/Foil: Alufoil pre-cut heavy duty shisha foil
Hose: Shisha King EX-L
Coals: Cococha (1 split in half, total fail), followed by Abo Alabed, 3 x 1" lumps, worked well)
Base Liquid: Water

Appearance: Finely cut, black, some small stems, moist but not dripping wet
Nicotine: unknown, but plenty
Base: unknown
Smell: intriguing, can't place it, not like other shisha I've had. Slightly perfumy, spicy smell. Pleasant but novel, not obviously liquorice and not obviously tobacco, but not offputting.
Taste: milder than expected, more spice and tobacco than obviously liquorice although it did yield an aftertaste of actual liquorice root (as opposed to liquorice candy)
Smoke: barely a wisp at low heat; excellent clouds attainable with extreme heat, less scorchable than Nakhla
Buzz: a wonderfully relaxing smoke, up there with the best.
Duration: 2 x 20 mins, with a short break

Purchased From: hookah1.com

Overall: 8/10 - not your typical shisha and not quite what I expected, but very pleasant, with a nice, relaxing buzz and an acceptable flavour. As others have said, the flavour seems like an afterthought, though with generous amounts of heat, I was able to get decent amounts of enjoyable smoke. Excellent value, enjoyable tobacco.
