Twoapplesplease started the whole reverse phunnel method a year or two back. He swears it works awesome, but I could never get it working any better than the normal setup really. I just stick with what I know works best. Also, it uses a ton of coals...

I'm using a mini alien with Tangiers, it's what has worked best so far for me.

Yeah, the original issue with the method was going through coals so fast, but it's not an issue for me for whatever reason.
I still use two coals, and they stay stoked the whole time.

I'll have to make a video in the next day or two, I don't think I'm doing anything special haha, just a windcover at the beginning/end
Like I said, I also modified the method a bit, I put two veryvery tiny holes under where each coal sets, I'm not sure how much this helps air circulation for the coals.

Worse from my experience. Nothing beats Reynolds Heavy Duty, IMO. :)

Smoking Tangiers, Horchata or Jackfruit right now (cause it's all I have.)

With my alien, I was using two coals, but I can't figure out how to pack my alien for the life of me, I'll come back to it.
I abandoned that, I've been doing reverse phunnel on my crown mini phunnel.
It's 3 coals, one micro hole under each one for circulation, one "huge" hole over the spire.

Throw the coals on, I put a windcover on for the first 5-10 minutes while it warms up, then take it off.

Smokes pretty damn good imo, clean flavor. Not gonna say it's for everyone, normal method has its advantages, but I like this.
