TV Production... Sounds like someone I could easily get along with. :) I graduated in December from MTSU with a Mass Comm TV Prod degree. Just can't find a damn job with it. :/

Welcome to the forum, man!!!

That's awesome man. Congrats on being so close. So many of my friends have dropped out it's sad. :( So I always appreciate those that stick with it. Everyone told me throughout my time at MTSU that Nashville was a great market for TV majors, but I'm not finding much of anything at all. I'm considering seeing what's in Atlanta, although I wouldn't really like to move down there. In the mean time I try to do oddjobs, build my resume as much as I can. What's the job market look like in Chicago? Or are you looking elsewhere? I've only been to Chicago three times, and they were all short trips, so I didn't get much of a chance to check things out.

Thanks Vendetta! Chreees, the job market here is for the most part decent, most of my teachers come from doing like commercials and other shows that have been filmed here like Jerry Springer/Steve Wilkos as well as Oprah, the market here is kind of unique though it's not like NYC or LA with the day time or late night shows, Illinois a few years ago got tax benefits with a lot of studios so we get a lot of movies coming to town. A lot of the tv industry actually gets jobs with them because we aren't known for film, so it's kind of good for that as well. But after I graduate I'm looking to either stay here or go to LA, I've had a few offers already for jobs in both places through teach recommendations and friends that have graduated already working with those particular studios or shows.

I totally forgot about all those shows being filmed there. That's awesome you already have job offers! I worked my ass off to pay my bills which meant I didn't have as much time to do internships and whatnot. I wish I had been able to do more. :( Either way, best of luck to you in your endeavors. I hope you make it out to LA someday. That was my dream as well. Who knows, maybe we'll meet up out there someday.
