Hello, My Name Is Chris And I'm A Geek...

My Fossil watch has crapped out for the fourth time ( http://www.amazon.com/Fossil-Mens-Leather-watch-JR9120/dp/B000JCI966/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top ), and I'm tired of sending it off for repair (under warranty, costs me $8 each time to cover the return shipping). So I figured it's time for a backup watch for when this one isn't functioning... Also not sure if I'm going to continue shipping it off for repair.

Kickin' it old school!

Also got this one for Brooke, because it's "cute":

Haha, buy me one and I will wear it!

I got this watch cause it's cheap and reviews say it's reliable (unlike my Fossil obviously). Also, I don't think it looks too shabby. I'm a fan of retro.

I almost got this one, but decided against it because I don't think I'd ever use the calculator function, and it doesn't have a backlight and it doesn't show the date on the main screen:

As you can probably tell, I have a thing for digital display watches that show the time, date, and day.

Get what, the Rolex or the CA53W?

If the Rolex... :getout:

If the CA53W, I already explained why I don't want it.

Hass- I'm not old enough nor do I wear the proper clothes to pull that off.

Scotsman- I've always worn a watch. It would be awkward not to. Guess that's my only reason... I try not to rely on my phone for everything. ;)

In fact now that I'm thinking about it, very seldom do I check the time on my iPhone... Only time I really use it clockwise is for my daily alarm to wake me up.

Price tag - totally hilarious. The reviews, even better.

This is the watch for you, Chris.

I cant wear watches, i've tried for so many years they all just hurt my wrist.

i've broken them both and the wrist bone bump just starts to hurt after like 2 days of a watch and i dont like them loose and dangley its annoying

I guess different strokes for different folks. I've always worn one, so it feels weird not to for me.

I like my watch secure. Not tight, but stays in place. I hate loose and dangley. This is why if it's a watch that must have the metal band adjusted by removing links/pins, I don't wear it until I get it adjusted. I now own my own tool kit, so I can do all that myself. Overall, I prefer a good leather strap watch with a buckle and adjustable holes (pretty much like a belt).

Yeah it's a wood watch. It's okay to be jealous.
