Illegal To Use Cash In Louisiana

BF told me about this last night (he reads a blog called Patrick.net check it out sometime it's pretty interesting). They're passing a law that makes it illegal for you to purchase second-hand goods with cash. I think it has to do with cutting down on fencing stolen goods, but the law allows pawnshops to buy second-hand goods with cash and isn't that where a lot of crooks fence the loot?

Or maybe it's really a way to cut down on yard/garage sales, swap meets, and those pesky thrift shops.

Pass a law because the cops can't do their job. Good Call.

In Texas you have to have valid Picture ID to sell to a pawn shop.

Fencing stolen crap is just a ruse to BS the dim-witted masses into accepting the law.

The real reason to regulate payment to a documented, provable form of record is to stick a sales tax collection onto everything sold/traded second hand. The sheeple will accept anything you tell them is a law needed to protect them, or their junk.

Now, looking at this C-note, see the words.... Legal tender for all debts, Public or Private.

For a state to disallow U.S. reserve notes as legal tender would seem to be in whole, illegal under 31 USC 5103, if I am reading the law right. Where the hell is the Judge when we need him?
