ntur Posted October 8, 2011 Share Posted October 8, 2011 Ok guys and gals i finally have time to post my homemmade shisha results. first i got my tobacco. [img]http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/3630/dsc00710z.jpg[/img] then i steamed it just enough to make the leaves flexible. [img]http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6268/dsc00702zq.jpg[/img] next i cut the tobacco down to size [img]http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/3596/dsc00704z.jpg[/img] then mix in the flavoring first. i used vanilla and mint extracts. i threw the mixture in the microwave for a minute to let the tbacco absorb it all and to boil out the alcohol. then i mixed in the honey and the glycerin. i used the post by exzen ([url="http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/39054-how-tohomemade-shisha/"]http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/39054-how-tohomemade-shisha/[/url]) as a guide to base the amounts of tobacco honey glycerin and flavors. it ends up looking like this. [img]http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/852/dsc00707b.jpg[/img] i found that the tobacco has a much better flavor and smoke if you let it sit in a tub and for a few days before smoking it. after sitting it looks like this. [img]http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/1900/dsc00711rf.jpg[/img] the flavor is good, it takes alot of heat to get the smoke thick, and this tobacco has a pretty strong buzz (slightly stronger than nakhla). ill post some pics or a video of it smoking when i get some more free time. I hve bin planning to do this again with some ajami glad someone did it first. did you use alcohol exstracts? how was the clouds and flavor? was there a underline tobacco taste? ntur Posted October 9, 2011 Author Share Posted October 9, 2011 thanks guys, ill take some pics when im smoking tonight. i did use alcohol extracts, which is why i microwaved it for a bit and let it sit for a few days. the flavor was good, not too strong because i didnt use alot of mint extract. i used 2 parts vanilla to one part mint for the extracts. there is an underline tobacco taste, but its not too noticeable. I actually really like the tobacco taste with the vanilla. the clouds were good, not the largest ive ever seen, but very respectable. it just takes laot of heat to get this stuff smoking. ill make some more in a few days and see if i can get any better.
