I wonder how these stack up against the original Shiazo Steam Stones. I quite enjoyed Shiazo, even though it lacks certain qualities compared to tobacco. Coyote Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 Shiazo flavor refills are available in the US now. you can also you extra juice that you have from your hookah tobacco to resoak the stones (like fantasia is extra juicy). You can also mix glycerin and any flavor to make your own mix. But if you by the refills it makes it easy to make a high quality mix because whatever they use for the flavoring is top of the line. I tried them out and: FIRSTLY - They are tasteless SECONDLY- They only last around 20 minutes THIRDLY - After a while they give you a weird feeling in your mouth I tried them on both, a normal bowl and a funnel and they are completely useless on a normal bowl while on a funnel its just decent. One thing i was suprised by is the amount of smoke or STEAM that it gives off, i got HUGEEE CLOUDS with these things but like i said that weird feeling it gives in your mouth about after 20 minutes make it unsmokable after a while and then OFCOURSE, THERE IS NO BUZZ. [/quote] i Do agree, for the most part. Smoke was good, and for me they did not last long either. However the flavor strength seemed to vary. Pina colada was ok carribean dream was pretty weak for me. But the peach was not bad. The flavor is still not as strong as a normal tobacco though thats for sure. I've used both the shiazo and pure brands now and neither seem better than the other, in fact, their orange flavors were identical. I don't know what you guys are talking about who got no flavor and didn't last long, mine lasted full flavor with 3 rounds of 2 CCNs ~2 hours. [/quote] Eric said he tried that once, putting just juice in a phunnel. Can't remember what his results were exactly, but I recall it not being too good, for whatever reason. I wish our country would stop killing small business! Let the little guy THRIVE! Not chop his head off... So disappointed in this damn country. If it gets to the point where I can't afford or don't have access to my favorite hookah goods, I'm gonna rage on some mufuckas (AKA I'm going to write a bunch of letters to politicians telling them how fucking stupid they are). It has tryptophan in it.. needless to say I'm kind of curious. Has anyone had ANY experience with SMOKING trymptohan before? I'm not sure what I'm expecting save for a nap.
