Adult Beverages For Hookah Base

After my trip to Peru in January, I brought back one of the best sweet liquors I have ever tried: Pisco. It is a distilled sweet wine that is pretty potent at 80 proof. It definitely brought out the flavor with sweeter tasting shisha's like Vanilla or Mango. Has anyone else tried other flavors? I am sure the flavored vodkas with their diversity of flavors could make a great addition to your indulgence of the smoke vice.

I've used some wine/water mix before with grape shisha and it was ok, but I prefer just using water and having a drink along side to complement the smoke.

Ditto rather drink the nice wine/ liquor than wast it in the base

Mushrat can definitely vouch for me creativity last night: I was wanting to smoke Rose/Jasmin or Dos Flores... then started thinking... what if you added Tanqueray to the base and made Tres Flores?

Sometimes I put a shot of bourbon in the base with Pipe and coffee flavors. Sometimes rum with fruity stuff. It's pretty nice once in a while.

I got a bottle of dominican liquor, Mamajuana, its the Dominican Viagra haha. Its mixed with all kinds of roots, gingseng, Bragul Rum, Red Wine and honey, it should go great with my hookah.

First Post. Alcohol in the base is definitely not the best idea (from experience ;P). Been to Peru before (twice) and had Pisco..definitely a tasty spirit! My addition to this thread is to add mint water to the base, ice cubes...and a (high fruit content) drink. My choice was mixed berry juice (almarai). Back in the Middle East I had a hookah mixture (approx 10kilos) that when smoked....you were definitely sideways. I just began my quest to re-create this in the states. Wish me luck. BTW, an ice cold drink is the best thing to accompany a smoking session (IMO). Base liquid accents the flavor of the tobacco. The accompanying drink should contrast.:D

...honestly, I really wish to see how its done in the states.

Rose, Jasmine and Pinesol???

Tanqueray, I'll pass.

I like throwing in a couple shots of Apple Vodka in with Esk Apple and Double Apple Flavors.

I'm not that fond of putting anything else but water in the base (especially not milk, like a lot of people seem to do). I know it's just me, but I like to enjoy the pure taste of the shisha. I think that other things in the base ruins the taste a bit. :P

I've tried Vodka-based sheeshas quite a few times. The first time we tried was at home, and we kinda failed with the ratio.. and I was left with green apple tasting burps. It was NOT comfortable.

But we've made progress since that, and I've come to notice that fruit flavors with a tinge of mint on a vodka base are very nice.
