Here's my story: I friend of my saw hookahs in Tunisia for the first time, so he bought one. He was 13 or 14 that time, he had no idea how does it work,so to make it bubble, he decided to put it on a his stove. Needless to say it exploded soon . I have heard if you take a soda bottle, put water in, and drop some dry ice in; then seal the lid up; and throw it, it will explode.Granted, hookahs are not sealed containers, however I would think that the vent valve would be too small to let enough pressure out; so it would go up and shove your tobacco and coal out of the way. Someone in the distant houses called the police for gun shots. Police arrested all 4 of them for making "bombs" it was all over the news in the DC metro area. All 4 of my buddies were expelled from H.S. only 1 was allowed to graduate with us, the others went to military and private schools. The news made this bigger than it should have been. The "MEDIA" claimed they could have put the bottles in a mailbox over night and when a child or parent went to get the mail the following day it could blow up in their face. Yes cause we all know that chemical mixtures have timers on them for when they expand to large for a container Its crazy to think people believed this and thought that a "bottle bomb" could blow up and kill their child who was playing in a playground and found one that had a "timer". oryon1033 Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 A couple of friends and I made a hookah out of a 5 gallon jug thinking the massive amount of smoke build up inside of it would create the thickest smoke possible. But we were retarded, and didn't think that the vacuum created by the jug after you hit it would suck the smoke back into itself. That was a waste of time.
