ya, thats a good idea Charley, but I am trying not to spend money on anything I don't really need anymore...i have too much crap as it is. Plus, i don't really have the extra time to be spending on video games, was just a nice release over spring break :)

For about 5 bucks you can get a replacement part that the game slides into and makes em work like new. Check those out. I got one on ebay for 7 shipped. Very easy install too

I miss my old 8-bit...still works, but im in college and don't have the extra room for it, plus i get so tired of doing all the tricks to get the damn thing to work again (blowing in it, wiggling the connector strips, shoving two games in it, patting the game, cursing at it, etc. )

+1

I don't usually play pc games, but that one was really fun. I remember playing that one in school when I was a kid. Anybody remember Fraction Muncher or Sleuth for the Comadore pc?

Another 8 bit classic was Bad Dudes for NES. Edited by thatonethere

there was this old game for NES called "Viper". Super hard, no save points, and if you got shot twice you died and had to start all over.

Ahhh yes. Nintendo is famous for having super hard games, or super hard scenarios in the games. Remember Castlevania 2 Simon's quest? There was a level where you had to land on an invisible platform. Nobody would have known about it because it was invisible....duh. LOL!

Classic for me:

Decent II (epic computer game) back in 1997-1998 I was 7-8 years old.
Good old powerPC

Warcraft II also from 1997-1998 time frame.

Those two games pretty much caused me to become a computer geek.

I loved both those games...too much.

I only play Urban Terror nowadays. By far, one of the best quake 3 mods ever. I always preferred it over Counter-Strike too. If you ever see {TMS} - LoBo on there, that's me teabagging you.. LOL

[edit]

I still play my N64 on a regular basis. Never gets old. Mario Kart and Ocarina of Time FTW.

And Perfect Dark. Great game. Edited by natgnat
