Woes Of Online Ordering...

Recommended Posts

So we all have our favorite vendors, and most of us share the same one. I'm just sad that all vendors don't carry all the things I want when I get my heart set on an order. I realize that not all brands or flavors sell very well and the point of a buisness is to make money, but its just kind of lame having to make two or three orders to get all the things I want. I'm just a bit sad that I have to pay double shipping sad.gif

Look at it this way...... By supporting more than one vendor you're ensuring we all continue to have great selections from various sources and you're contributing to several merchants having successful business that support thier families. That trumps an extra shipping charge any day of the week in my book.

hookah company

and to be honest i may not have a 3rd vendor but 2 second place vendors..im really starting to love hookah company

i love hookah company as well. they always have the most tangiers and nakhla in stock. in the end of an order its a bit more pricey but i always have the most choices there

at first i was always on the look out on which vendor can save me that extra nickel..but i always ended up paying for it in the end..accepting my order on out of stock items, missing items not showing up with order, delayed shipping..its just not worth it..now i dont mind paying a little extra because i know i will be treated like im there only customer and all they care about is making me happy..and thats how i feel everytime i order from john,h-s, and hookah company

i stick with John..typically if he doesn't have it, i don't want it

A lil' off-topic, but... I love all of the View-Askewniverse movies. From Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Mallrats, all the way down to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back... Just felt I had to say this. Oh, I think my fav is Dogma, lol. Major props for liking these movies, bro.

I buy locally. But, I am a newb and you all seem seasoned vets. Is there a reason you buy online? The reason I buy locally is theres a shop nearby with almost every flavor and brand I've seen mentioned here, with a few exceptions. And no shipping.

we like to show our support for our vendors, especially since some are members here, but also because the prices are much better online then a brick and mortar store and also for some of us there really isnt much locally and we have a big selection to choose from online..

Gotcha. I wasn't aware of the pricing difference. I'll check in to it further. Cool that you support members like that.

i buy mostly online now because the effing state legislature decided 'hey, lets tax the fucking balls out of tobacco in texas'. i used to buy all my nakhla and al fakher locally at prices below what most vendors online offer. i'm talking nakhla for about $7 per 250g and al fakher for about $8.90, and the stores were only about 20 minutes or so away, very convenient. now with the new tax they passed, nakhla is $18.90 per 250g and Al Fakher is almost $23. there's no way i'm paying that kind of money. it does suck for the small businesses here, a few of them have told me their business in hookah tobacco has almost completely fallen off.

F@)*$# Perry!

Yeah My spending habits will change as I get most of my stuff from H-S, I have to pay higher taxes still, but if I order from John, he doesn't have to collect those extra taxes, because isn't a local Texas business.

Still working on that thing for you John!

Hmmm...to be honest, I haven't seen any tax hikes here in Tyler, which is weird.

The woes of online ordering...there was one certain company that used to be awesome that fell off the map. It took them almost three weeks to ship my order of coals and shisha. Three weeks! Of course, had I done a bit of asking around, or their website had been updated, I wouldn't have had this problem.

Other than that, I stick to HJ and HS exclusively.

Holy crap. That tax is out of control. Understandable why you'd use online services.
