I'd just like to make a post about this. I just got a call from one of my good friends in Chicago who gave me news that one of his good friends, Francheska Velez, was one of the victims in the shootings; she was pregnent. Pray for the families in this horrible time. I met her once and she was a wonderful woman, still very young. 21 I believe as she was 20 when I met her last year. Edited by FSUReligionMan

I am so sorry to hear about all of it, as a Muslim and as a former soldier, it all just breaks my heart. For the record, I was in the Army for 9 years, 4 of them as an active Muslim and I never, EVER got anything but kind words and support. Thank GOD! Our prayers are with the soldiers and their families.

when i saw this on the news it almost made me cry..and it takes alot to do that..when shit like this happens it just makes one race of people look so bad, and i hope people dont look down or condem a nation of people cause of 1 sick phuck. what sucks is 1 of them was in iraq and he survived that and he died here in his own fort where he is supposed to be protected among his own comrades and soldiers, another was only there for 2 days and this shit happened..its just nuts..but how do you screen for this shit? i mean if you have one person convert to another religion how do you approach the matter without singling them out?

My heart goes out to her family, along with all the other families hurt by this act of terrorism.

Out of respect for those troopers, and their families, this is not the thread to debate the motives of the lunatic.

The Most complete list I could find as of now. Information on the wounded is scarce, the Army is protecting the families from the media-mob.

  • 21 years old Pfc. Michael Pearson, from Bolingbrook, Illinois
  • 21 years old Pvt. Francheska Velez, from Chicago, Illinois
  • 22 years old Spc. Jason Dean Hunt, from Tipton, Oklahoma
  • 23 years old Spc. Kham Xiong, from St. Paul, Minnesota
  • 29 years old Sgt. Amy Krueger, from Kiel, Wisconsin
  • 32 years old Staff Sgt. Justin M. DeCrow, from Plymouth, Indiana
  • 51 years old Russell Seager, from Racine, Wisconsin
  • 55 years old Juanita Warman, from Pittsburgh
  • 56 years old Reservist John Gaffaney, from Serra Messa, California

My condolences and prayers to that family.
I am disgusted to call this despicable excuse for a man a Muslim.
As one, I would like to just tell all that me as well as every single Muslim I know condemns this act.

thats what i mean, now because of this act, people who are already on the fence about other religions will now look down on the whole race..i hope everyone remembers not to let 1 bad grape spoil the bunch

I have very close friends in the military, and my heart and prayers go out the victims and their families in their time of need. I pray they have and get the comfort and support they all need during their greatest time of need.

The media always seems to TRY to make one race look bad. I havn't heard anything other than his name, as they are still "searching for motives", but I personally did not automatically assume he was a terrorist. I did, however, automatically assume that he was a veteran of Iraq or Afghanistan.

Either way, it is very unfortunate these victims had to be there at the time he decided to open fire.

He didn't decide to open fire, That makes it sound like a spur of the moment crime of passion. He planned the attack, purchased the weapons, gave away his possessions, made "final statements" to friends, loaded up, drove to the center, used the advantage of his rank to get past security, got out, went in, and began slaughtering people he knew would be unable to mount a substantial resistance. Because, as he stated, Muslims needed to stop the war against Muslims. (paraphrased)

He was NOT a veteran of Assganistan, Iraq, or DS.

His actions and words for years prior to the attack support his motivation.
Not calling a terrorist a terrorist, out of some twisted insane inability to acknowledge there is a violent radical arm of Islam demonstrates a lack of touch with reality. The media is trying to suppress the fact it was religiously motivated. If this were a lunatic Jew who walked into a mosque, and yelled death to Islam, all we would hear is how it was an act of terrorism. If you don't think Ft. Hood was an attack by a radical member of Islam, you are drinking the CAIR koolaid. If we don't like the word terrorist, let's call them what they are, murderous religious extremists. I really do think the general non-Muslim members of the public get more suspicious of Islam as a result of both the media trying to hide facts relating to Islam in these cases, and the fact that Islam itself does bloody little to ostracize, or expose the murderous radicals in it's own midst.

In this year alone the Feds have destroyed 4 plots by radical Muslims attempting to murder civilians in the USA.
This is the 3rd fratricide attack (in recent history) against the US Army personnel, by radical Muslims acting alone. In each case, authorities ignored the comments, and actions of the perp prior to the event. I would contend the PC bullshit of not going after radical Islam when it surfaces is as much the cause as the finger on the trigger. Hassan had made comments that, had similar come from a Jewish, or Christian radical, would have triggered in instant investigation. Where are the anti-gun groups calling for a "red flag" on any background check where a person attends a radical Mosque? They wanted such for Christians, yet it's the Muslims that seem to be unable to control their radical wing. It is a simple fact, not 100% of the Muslim faith are terrorists, yet the vast majority, by far, of the terrorists are Muslim.

Radical Islam killed more people in one year than the Spanish inquisition managed to kill in 3 centuries!

Wow

That is the "religion of peace" in action.

Gotta laugh at clueless people that are trying to turn the religion of islam into a race.

Guess that would make Christianity a race, and the muslims in that video are obviously a bunch of racist bigots by the same definition. I guess if that works for ya, that's OK.
