Any way to get the Search feature to work better? I have noticed it really doesn't work that well at all. For example, I just now did a search on "smoke rings" and got a bunch of results, none of which had anything to do with "search rings."

Hmm, no, I just click on search, type the words in, then hit 'go'. I tried the google/yahoo search engine thing too and it didn't work...and it is hard to image that there are NO topics on smoke rings. It's not just smoke rings either, it hasn't worked correctly several other times before. I will give the advanced search option a try, thanks!

Maybe a tutorial is order.

Typing just SMOKE RINGS in - searches for 2 words --- SMOKE and RINGS. Of course the word SMOKE shows up in just about every thread EVER, so it gets hits and distorts the search. That's not the fault of the forum, but a fault of understanding search engines.

Typing in "Smoke Rings" - picked up a number of threads.

Ahh, ok, I used the advanced search option and typed
QUOTE
"smoke rings"
in and it worked great, thanks! Just the regular search doesn't work well, which I am guessing is because it searches both titles and posts rather than just titles.
