Hookah Springs

visited colorado springs and cotsi suggested hitting "hooked on hookah". they didn't open for a few more hours when we wanted to smoke, so we tried this random place. wow... what a mistake that was. i'll itemize what made this the absolute worse hookah lounge experience ever:

1) shit hole. cheap and dirty. my wrist was itchy afterwards and i thought i might have gotten fleas or crabs from the couch.

2) bad pipes. judging by the mismatched ambiguous look of them, this place only gets the absolute cheapest they could find from anywhere.

3) worse hoses. our hose looked like a stock mya hose from 1983. these hoses are not washable, and they didn't even give us a tip, so we were sucking straight out of this dirty thing. we asked for some sb blue mist, and the taste was like a campfire. it literally tasted like burnt wood, and nothing else. i nearly ruptured a lung trying to pull out of this thing.

4) bad bowl prep. sloppy - i mean not even squashed down - foil. shitty coals put on there barely lit. we never did get much smoke out of it.

5) the people. the girl working couldn't have been more than 16 and she was dumb as a brick. the rest of the people in there smoking were hoodie teeny-bopper douches, and i suspect *none* of them were 18.

6) absolute rip-off. stupid me, i paid up-front. she said it was $15 for the hookah and $2 each for two little generic bottles of water. then she rang my credit card for $20.

i hope this place is shut down or goes out of business. if the owner is on this forum, you should punch yourself in the nuts. absolutely disgraceful.

Name and shame, friend. CO hookah enthusiasts seem to abound on here, and it'd be nice to know what to avoid. I like Hooked On Hookah well enough, though it always feels like a frat party to me and it replaced my favorite deli, but there's no harm in letting us know where you went. One of the 40 Thieves locations? Or is this place actually called "Hookah Springs", and it's just flown totally under my radar? Edited by Sherwood

I went and checked this place out the other day for lunch.

It wasn't their regular smoking time so I just ordered something to eat and looked over their pipes and shisha selection.

Sadly I have to agree with the review above.

The pipes are all generic and looked of dubious quality. The shisha selection was pitiful. The smoke rates were way overboard. I think this is not a bad place to go if you want an Egyptian Pita, but not the place for a smoke.

Luckily we have Hooked on Hookah and 40 Thieves here in town which are both much better places to go.
