Just wondering, does anyone pair the two like I do? I pretty much always accompany my sessions with a glass (or a few glasses) of beer. Also does anyone have any interesting pairing suggestions? My favorite at the moment is naklah double apple, and Duvel golden ale.

I don't know what it is about this pairing, but Layalina Raspberry and Nakhla Mint with a Leinenkugel Fireside Nut Brown Ale is absolutely amazing to me... there's really no good reason for it but i love it.

Belgian, German, or high end American. Anything else just doesnt stack up. A nice, light Affligem with some Nakhla Melon is perfect to me. Nothing gets any better.

yeah IPA'S seem to be a good fit with a lot of shisha...I like the contrast between really hoppy beer, and sweet tobacco

hookah + beer gives me this interesting side effect ive noticed. I often combine the two, but theres a combination i call 'the terrible two' when you get a heavy nicotine and alcohol buzz. often i get really dehydrated with a headache and my blood pressure drops really so. when i stand up quick i often feel like wanting to faint. this of course requires a good excess of both =)

Have any of yall tried the Shiner Cheer while smoking? Haven't tried it yet and only have AW mint right now but I think it'd go well with hookah.
