willbb123 Posted August 5, 2008 Share Posted August 5, 2008 I was on another forum today and they had some things that might fix some annoyances on this forum.First is a "Destination Forum Confirmation". I went to make a new thread and this was the first thing that I saw. It shows the forum that I am posting and a short description of it. It says that it will only show up for you first 20 posts.Second is the way that they have there page to post threads set up. Some of the question reposts might be eliminated by adding "Are you asking a question? Try searching first. Answers to many questions can be easily found."Also something that annoys me alot is short not descriptive title. They have text right on the page to discourage this. "Do not use a generic title such as "help please" or "what to do" or "Need advice" -- be specific."Also on that page they have a button that takes the title, that you just entered, and turns that into a search. Look, we are all 18 here..or we'd better be, if following a few simple rules is to taxing we probably don;t want you posting anyways. Tired of having to coddle people who, if they would actually read the rules like they are supposed to, would know where and where not to post. Besides, if you self report a thread you put in the wrong place we will take care of it with no ill effect. So if you find you accidently posted in the review section, just hit the report button and say "i put it in the wrong place" and that'll be the end of it.Consider the rules another one of life's little tests.
