This isnt widely known but its a favorite of mine.

Stray Bullets-Bender

Another night another bender
No control and no surrender
Wake up trying to remember all my wrongs
I ain't looking for forgivness
Fucking up is how I live this life
'Cos otherwise it lasts too fucking long

Stopping by the bar for one (yeah right!)
Now I'm blackout drunk on a Monday night
Black eye wonder why was it from falling or a fight
I guess I'll never know
Tomorrow though I'll get another chance to get it right

Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down (hey!)
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em down
And pour the next round
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down you know
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down (hey!)
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em down
whos got the next round
Line em up boys because this life moves way too slow

Poisoned every morning from a thousand drunken sins
Been 86'd from places that I swear I've never been
This ain't a social mission I'm not out here making friends
But baby if you're buying then I'll love you til the end

But then my manic gets 180 jaded
Looking for a fight
Hey who said thats your lady
Ask her where she was last night

One I come up swinging
Two I hit the floor
Three I'm back up at the bar
To ask that motherfucker for one more

Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down (hey!)
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em down
And pour the next round
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down you know
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down (hey!)
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em down
Whos got the next round
Line em up boys because this life moves way too slow

Another night Another bender
Was it a sunny summer evening
Or a cold night in December

The lights they start to flicker
For my halfway open eyes
I hear last call
It's a familiar lullaby

One more for the record books
I guess we gotta go
Will somebody please just point me the fuck towards home

Well all right I guess if you insist
I'll have another pint and know
There ain't no place that I'm being missed

Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down (hey!)
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em down
And pour the next round
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down you know
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down (hey!)
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em down
Whos got the next round
Line em up boys because this life moves way too slow

So here we go!

Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em back down
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down you know
Line 'em up boys and we'll knock 'em back down (hey!)
Knock 'em back down
Knock 'em down
whos got the next round
Line em up boys because this life moves way too slow
Line em up boys because this life moves way too slow

NO FUCKING WAY. I've never met anyone else in the world who has listened to the Stray Bullets. Unfuckingbelievable band. Met there bassist (Andy) on a video game forum, and we both played bass, so I found out about them that way. I wish that they were still around and that they'd put out more than that one album. Unreal.

Bender is my least favorite track on the cd though.

I was in some biker-ish bar called the Iron Horse a few months back and there was this guy named John Valby. I'd never heard of him, but he was sloshed playing piano and singing some rather nasty, but certainly all-American drinking songs that everyone there knew. Anyone know about this guy and whether his stuff is pouplar enough to consider "American Drinking Songs"?

Oh hell yeah, he's been around for a looooong time! Since the 70's, I think. He's actually from the New England area, and plays quite a bit around here. He's up there with David Allen Coe. Neither of them are exactly politically correct, but a whole lot of fun to see! Won't be hearing either on the radio any time soon. Are the songs popular enough? Depends on the crowd...crowd of bikers? Yup. Crowd of people my age in New England, most likely. Younger crowd, probably not.

BTW, the Iron Horse is a GREAT bar, isn't it? Spent some time there during bike week.

There's a lot of Sublime drinking songs....
I'm trying to remember the name of the band from boston that sings a lot of irish-esque drinking music, one of the better songs is

"We drink and drink and drink and drink and drink and drink and fight!
We drink and drink and drink and drink and drink and drink and fight!
And if I see a pretty girl, she's home with me tonight!
DRINK AND DRINK AND DRINK AND DRINK AND DRINK AND FIGHT"

Shit.....why am I drawing a blank? my boss used to jam these guys whenever I was driving a truck...gimme a sec...

Ah. The Dropkick Murphy's. Ninety percent of their songs are drinking songs, I promise you

Edit: DKM is still a bad-ass drinking band, but the song above is actually sang by Flogging Molly, a very similar band with more great drinking music. Edited by GuyWithTheGun

here's one that i don't think anyone knows.
my brother went to Belgium for the foreign exchange program and the students from the States had this song. The custom there was to only drink your beer with your left hand and if you were caught with your beer in your right hand, you'd have to down the rest of your beer at the conclusion of this song:

Here's (name) he's true blue.
He's a piss-pot through and through.
He's a bastard, so they say;
He tried to go to heaven but he went the other way;
He went DOWN! DOWN! DOWN! DOWN! DOWN! DOWN! (until the guy finishes his beer)

anyone ever heard of that one?

This song makes me laugh everytime I hear it.

Jagermeister Love Song by Psychostick.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6ltpUYvWqI...feature=related

I know I promised I'd write you a love song
But instead I just wrote you a drunk song
Because love is pathetic
But seventy proof is no less than poetic

You look your best when my vision is blurry
That's not what I meant I can't keep from slurring
Because love is emetic
But not if you bought me a shot and I hit it

Drink 'till you're crazy
Dance 'till you're sick
Take off your bra
Give it to the 'stick

Drink 'till your're crazy
Dance 'till you're sick
Acknowledge the dumb
Give in to the 'stick

I can't see, now I have to pee
And I can't count to three
But I can count to JAGERMEISTER!

YEAH!

Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug my Jagermeister!

Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug my Jagermeister!

Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug! Chug!
Chug! Chug my JAGERMEISTER!!!

WHEW!

Drink 'till you're crazy
Dance 'till you're sick
Take off your bra
Give it to the 'stick

Drink 'till your're crazy
Dance 'till you're sick
Acknowledge the dumb
Give in to the 'stick

George Thorogood as stated before has: I Drink Alone and One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.

I know of one song which I have learned and managed to retain for quite some time. It is in fact an american drinking song and is quite lewd, so it should be quite popular with those who enjoy a good drinking song.

Walking Down Canal Street

Walkin' down Canal Street

Drinkin' e'er more,

I'll be a son-of-a-bitch

I couldn't find a whore.

(Chorus; optional)

Hidey, hidey, hidey, hidey

Who the hell are we?

Wham, bam, thank you ma'am

We're the Infantry.

When I finally found a whore

She was nice and slim,

I'll be a son-of-a-bitch

I couldn't get it in.

(Chorus)

When I finally got it in

I wiggled it all about,

I'll be a son-of-a-bitch

I couldn't get it out.

(Chorus)

When I finally got it out

It was red an' sore,

The moral of the story is

You never fuck a whore!
