Funnel Bowls

I know i could probably just hunt around for this, but how big of a difference does a funnel bowl and mod really make? I just got a new Mya and wanna make the best of it!

I think they make a HUGE difference. Since I've got mine I haven't used anything else.

They make a noticeable amount of difference in all areas ranging from taste to smoke quality.

The only draw back is the amount of smoking it takes to actually smoke through the bowl. Because it is rare that i have a 2+ hour session - it's rare that i use my Funnel. Other than that - i love it.

i didnt have one for a long time and i was just using the one that came with my mya and it worked fine and still does but the phunnel bowl is so much better. thicker smoke and more flavor by far.


try to make your bowl that you have now into a phunnel bowl and see how you like it but it still wont compair to a real one.

You can't go wrong with the Phunnel bowls. They are excellent to keep good flavor and great smoke. I rarely use anything else anymore.

If you intend to smoke for less than 2 hours I would recommend the supper chief. I own both the small funnel and small super chief. I use the super chief far more frequently. I don’t generally desire a bowl to last over 2 hours, but that’s preference. Plus, I’m a miser and don’t particularly like the vast amount of shisha required to fill the funnel. I don’t have a scali mod, which may shift the balance in favor of the funnel. I’m thoroughly satisfied with the super chief as I get the same smoke quality as a funnel for the duration I require.

I would recommend you save your money and DON'T get a mod. I bought one and ended up losing it and the smoke is just as good as it was with the mod.

I picked mine up from a local hookah shop in the "Little Gaza" area next to my house a week ago.

Let me tell you, it was a real bitch trying to learn how to properly use it. I finally got it working tonight and man, best smoke ever.

I'm smoking Layalina Peach and using Red Kastle natural coals. The taste is amazing, just like a fresh peach from the farmer's market and the smoke is monstrous.
