Proper Way To Add Milk

Recommended Posts

I want to try milk in my hookah but im not sure how to do this. Should a small amount of milk be added, and what kind. Id prefer to use a milk found in the dairy section and not one that is in a crazy store down by the river. Any help would be fantastic, and i like details so be descriptive, or not. Your choice, its America.

Milk, in my personal experience, has made the smoke pretty thick and "milky" rolleyes.gif ...but as SafeSearchOff said, water the milk down or it will bubble up into your hoses, etc...which isn't too fun lol. unsure.gif

yeah, milk makes me go dry.gif . always gets into the hose and i dont like mixing it with water, almost no point.

also, someone said something about coconut milk in a different thread. i tried it, wasn't impressed, stained my hookah with flavor. it smells like ass (coconut milk) now and wont come out, ive used everything except beer, im going to go buy a 40oz to clean the hookah...lol

There is no "proper" way to add milk as there is a general consensus that milk doesn't contribute much to the smoking experience other than a messy cleanup or a less than perfect smoke. Just setup the hookah well and the smoking will be just fine without milk.

To me it seems like a gimmick that people have come up with to improve a system that has worked for a thousand years or so.

To me, the only improvements have been foil, and started by Eric (Tangiers phunnel) and Scalliwag.

I does in my opinion. I don't do it often though, because I generally have no problem getting good, thick clouds. Milk helps though, if you use it reasonably.

i find that milk doesnt really help with clouds. its actually thicker than water so i would rationally think that it DIShelps with clouds. ...is that a word? it DEF helps with flavors milk would go with tho. i.e. one of my favorits - Nakhla Coconut and some Milk in the base.

Try it your self. I learned string up milk will bubble like everyone has said. I usually add 2 tsp to the whole base. It dosen't really affect taste, but thats me.

If you want to try something weird and your 21+, try adding R-OH to the base with ice and mint shisha. It has one hell of a cooling sensation
