Third person shooters are about an even toss. Gears of War is cross-platform; sniping and reloading are much easier with keyboard and mouse, everything else is slightly easier with a controller. Very easy to snipe/rape with the PC. I remember playing Halo on the Xbox and doing pretty well but when I got it for PC I raped! Headshot headshot headshot blah blah blah its not hard to do.
