Smoke : Thick, puffy white clouds.

Setup : Unbranded Hookah, 1 soltan coal.
Flavour : Not cappucino =o but tastes good nontheless.
Smoke : Extremely Thick White Puffy Clouds
Buzz : Changed my mind, good buzz.

Setup : Unbranded Hookah, 1 soltan coal.
Flavour : VERY strong, with a touch of anise.
Smoke : Thick as hell.
Buzz : Strong.

Buzz : Good buzz

Smoke : Thick(Starts very thin)

grape

Setup: brandless 36 inch egyptian,regular clay bowl (shallow). one 40mm belgian natural coal.

Appearance: brown and oily.

Smell: like rotten perfume.

Smoke: very thick.

Flavor: like smoking some rotten perfume. maybe i just can`t appreciate this because i`ve had a lot better.

Buzz: didn`t get any buzz (i smoke cigarettes too)

Duration: i smoked this for 20 minutes because i couldn`t stand the taste.

Overall: 3/10 because it can still produce some clouds, even though it tastes like crap.

Setup : Unbranded Hookah, 2 Soltan Coals
Flavour : Tasty, i never liked rose but i like it now.
Smoke : Thick as hell
Stems : Occasional stem here and there but very small.
Shisha : Wet, not sticky though.

Rating : 9/10
10/10 if it wasnt for how scared i was to try it since I hate rose =P

El Hennawy Licorice

Setup: standard egyptian 18 inch hookah, 1 30mm QL
Flavour: well not what i was expecting.. i was expecting a strong anise flavour but theres barely any at all, doesnt taste like the candy licorice, more like a tea flavour, which is disappointing since i wanted an anise taste..
Smoke: Average smoke,nothing special
Cut: wet, but not too wet, not drippy. fine cut, not many stems and if there are, most of them are shredded

Overall: I'd give it a 6.5/10 simply because i was looking for more of an anise taste but its still a pleasent flavour, when this runs out i might consider buying another 50g box. Nice, sweet tea like flavour. Saw some el hennawy in a local shop and since sean was so obsessed with it, decided to try out a new flavor. was a bit expensive though, 3 euros for a 50g pack.. but thats probably since i bought it from a tourist shop. not a bad shisha, im happy with it.

Appearance: Short Cut, some stems, reminds me of Romman but a bit darker
Nicotine: 0.5%
Base: Molasses & Glycerin
Smell: Hint of white grapes
Taste: Like white grapes, a little on the fermented side
Smoke: Good Clouds
Buzz: Mild
Duration: 2 Hours

Overall: 8/10 Finally a good grape flavor and not red. I like it. First 250 pack I haven't been disappointed to get to sample. Highly recommend if you like White Grape with a Hint of Red. Quite a good flavor. I am going to enjoy this flavor. May order more soon. Just wish it had a little more kick in the buzz area.

El-Hannawy Double Apple

Got this as a sample from John with my last order, with a request for a review. Actually just received the package about an hour ago; I let the bag open to acclimate for that whole time.

Setup

Hookah: Mya QT3
Bowl: Medium Egyptian
Foil: Double-layer generic
Hole Pattern: ~40 holes with a corn cob holder.
Hose: stock mya
Base: water
Coals: 2 CH natuals
Packing method: close to how AF should be packed: below the rim, not dense but not loose. Perhaps underpacked a bit.

Shisha

Cut: Fine, very few stems, not too wet. Reminds me of Fusion's new stuff.
Color: Red, looks very similar to Nakhla DA
Smell: Very similar to Pharaoh's Tripple Apple. Very sweet, more apple than anise

How it smokes

Flavor: Mild anise, very nice. I'm not usually a DA fan, but I like this. Smoooooth.
Smoke: White, nice for making rings. Very dense and clumpy, but light in the throat. No burn or itch whatsoever. Again reminds me of fusion.
Clouds: Very nice. Two CH coals is a good amount for this. Took a while to get started, but after ten minutes or so is going strong.
Buzz: Medium to mild, a little less than Nak but I can still feel it.
Heat management: Extremely easy. Haven't noticed a burn yet and I've gone through two sets of coals.

Summary

I like this shisha. Worth picking up a 250 sometime, though I probably won't go out of my way to buy it until I try a few more flavors. One of the better DAs I've tried. It's hard to give a good quantitative judgment on a shisha when you don't know how much it costs. I can't find a price on this stuff anywhere online; if anyone has a direct link I'd be curious to see it. That having been said, it does smoke very nicely, and is a pleasant double apple taste, much better than Nak/AF/Havana's offerings which are the only other ones I've tried. I really have very few criticisms of this shisha, I've been trying to think of anything I could say against it and I'm coming up empty. I guess it could have more buzz, but I don't always enjoy being steamrolled if that makes any sense, and I think that more buzz would make the smoke heavier taking away some of the great smoothness and lightness of the draw. The smoke it's producing is pitch-perfect as it is and I wouldn't make any changes. If this is at a similar price point as AF or Nak, I'd give it:

9.5/10

Simply because there are only 3 or 4 shishas I would ever give a 10.

Shisha:

Cut: Kinda like nakhla, some sticks and fairly large leafs.
Color:Amber, same as Nak Sweet Melon
Smell: smells like honey, a hint of melon but not whack in the face like nak sweet melon
Flavour : after figuring out that this shisha takes a bunch of heat to get going, it had a very good flavor, but only on the intake, didnt get much from breathing out..it was good, but i cant help but think of nakhla sweet melon for all melon flavors and its really hard to top it.
Smoke : Really thick
Buzz : Strong

Overall: Not bad, like i said had very good flavor breathing in but the exhale was a little disappointing as there was little to no flavor somehow when you breathe out. And also nakhla sweet melon is my favorite flavor ever and this just didnt do it for me. Ill give it an 8/10 though because it was very good just not amazing. Id try other flavors from this brand as i think it has potential for some good stuff

Setup
Hookah: HS Rotator (I know, I know)
Bowl: Small T. Phunnel

Shisha:

Reminded me of old Romman, not so wet, but pleasantly sticky. Could smell it through the ziplock it came in... and when I opened it, a very pleasant, sweet dried pineapple aroma: best pineapple I have smelt yet (not a lot of experience: just old Romman and Al Waha, neither of which did much for me).

Smoked well, with rich clouds, and a nice flavor. Did take some heat to get going, but was easy to manage.

I'd smoke this brand...can't seem to find it anywhere, really; so no idea what the price point is. Like the other recent reviews, John sent me this as a free sample.

Overall: 7.5/10, its good; not knock your socks off fantastic, but a pleasant smoke with good flavor.

[color="#8B0000"][b]Overall: 6/10[/b][/color]. I set up the hookah and smoked with a buddy of mine to see what his opinions of the shisha were as well. We pretty much came to the conclusion that it tastes like orange bubblegum after you have chewed most of the flavor out. The tobacco smells amazing and the cut is relatively nice, but the taste just isn't all the way there. I really enjoyed smoking it since it was producing massive clouds but I would definitely prefer a more potent flavor. Edited September 10, 2010 by jon bon
