Merriwether Lewis of th Lewis and Clark expedition died at my great-great-great-great-great-grandparents inn in Tennessee. He was either murdered or commited suicide. I dunno. But that is the farthest I've tracked family back, actually one generation further to the inn owner's father. That was a swiss colony called Hohenwald. My Irish back to the 1830's, and the cherokee to late 1800's on my Mom's side and coincedently ealry 1900's on my Dad's side. But there's not really much telling what all else is in the mix. His name was Fritz Mader. My fathers mom was 100% Irish. Her name was Mary Agnus O'Donnel. My mom's mother is mostly irish with a bit of german. And there is a tiny bit of indian in there somewhere.
