I was going to ask, where is exotic imports? Is this something that we are not supposed to talk about? I can't keep track. No, really, I can't, because nobody is allowed to talk about it.

Sorry,This is getting fucking ridiculous!

You wonder why I have been here longer than anyone else with such a low post count? Its because half of what I would post would get me banned! Can I post this here? No! Its a "Special " Thread!

Give me a fucking break. Y'all need to mellow the fuck out.

And yes, I realize the irony in my post.

Just so you realize it...

2 things, there is ONE merchant we don't talk about and, by mutual agreement because it got real ugly a while back, ONE other forum we don't mention. Other than that its pretty open.....

Exoticas are imported out of Cali, mad ein china, and atleast 2 members seem to be friends with the owner...that clear it up?

My fourth box of Exoticas... complete waste of my money, Total shit. What the fuck. I had 1 AMAZING box.... and now they just lowered their standards and give me shit shit and more shit? No one can stay in the fucking house while one is lighting. They smell so noxious. It's like Toxic Waste. They almost smell as bad as QL coals, and you can atleast SEE the QL smoke. They don't even stay lit on the side closest to the tobacco, and i can't get any flavor because the coal taste fucks me in my mouth.

IF I WANTED TO GET MOUTH-FUCKED I'd become a porn star for fucks sake.

Shit. Edited by ZenSilk

If these are good coals I wanted to buy more. I got mine from HC today. MNH has them also for $15 for 2 boxes. Where is everyone getting the bad coals from? I am worried to try mine now..... I do not want to set off the firm alarm.

Now I guess I hope this box i have is good and wait until I know when all this is sorted out.

light outside? try breaking a piece up, just score it with a knife and break it off. if it crumbles its an early warning of a bad batch. thats the problem with coal made from compressed coal dust, it can crumble. like my shitty QLs that smell like im having a barbeque in my house when i light inside biggrin.gif

Yeah maybe I better go buy a single coil burner just to make sure. I want one anyway. It is 32 degrees outside, maybe I will sit in my lounge and have a smoke..

This Kashmir Apple smells awesome. Finally an apple flavor without licorice taste(I hope) Blah
At least it smells like none in it.

Thanks for the heads up on how to break them and know if it might be a bad batch.

no problem. i hate the smell of quicklites burning. do exoticas have a starting compound? btw if ur gna buy some natural wood coals i would recommend making a screen around the burner or lighting outside, once i was lighing a coal chunk on the stove nd the coal exploded nd sent embers flying all over the place laugh.gif

we used zildjians box of exoticas at my house last night and no weird problems with them. i think he got them from nazar just recently.

as for breaking, i took the kitchen shears from our knife block that have the round opening with teeth in it. stuck the coal through that opening and clamped down and it scored all the corners for a clean break.

that was after i mangled a couple sticks of it though... Edited by camelflage

I think my box is OK, it did not crumble when I broke them. They let out a little smell, but no smoke like the Romman lemonwood does. That smoked up my apartment really bad. I will be going out to get a coil burner sometime today, I was to excited to try the coals and the Kashmir Apple. I broke a piece in half and broke that piece in half and I am using a half stick on my new small phunnel. No big smoke yet, only about 10 minutes into the bowl. These coals make a better taste for sure, now I know why everyone likes these and are pissed because you got bad ones.

How often should you ash these?

I just picked up one and ashed it and it broke into a couple of pieces, the other quarter did not

Yes, 2 1/3 pieces on my small phunnel. parallel to eachother, when they are dead i put the next to perpendicular to the first set.
